Salomon Z12 Ti Ski Binding

Your fatties are calling for a lightweight, super-strong binding this season. The Salomon Z12 Ti Ski Binding, to be exact.

  • Titanium hybrid material ups strength and cuts weight
  • Progressive Pivot controls the release during backward falls
  • Extra-long auto-adjust wings in toe piece provide precise power transfer
  • Salomon Control Pedal increases rigidity for minimal wiggle-room
  • High Lateral Transmission for control

Bottom Line: Stick it.

Do you these bindings have an adjustment range (not DIN range).

Do you these bindings have an adjustment range (not DIN range). Once they are mounted can they moved forwards or backwards at all?

Yes, they can be adjusted. But the range is fairly small, can't drop down several sizes for your friend to try out.

Any recommendations for a binding for new Salomon Lord Skis?

Any recommendations for a binding for new Salomon Lord Skis? I'm 5'7" 150 lbs very aggressive skier (Class III if you go by the ratings from when I was a kid, which makes me feel old to say that) - I'm mostly skiing out west, 10% on groomers 30% back country, 30% powder, and 10% in the park. I've recently gone through 2 pairs of Marker 11.0 Ti bindings in as many years (the plastic would crack and shatter, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone pushing the limits) and I'm looking for something that will last a little longer than that. Any suggestions?

This Salomon binding would be a great fit for you and your needs. If you are looking at touring in the backcountry, and need the flexibility of a free heel mechanism, then another binding would be better. But, if you are looking to lock it down with a light, safe, strong/sturdy and reliable binding- the Salomon Z12 is a great choice.

I highly recommend the Marker Jester binding. It has proven to be very reliable and durable over time. I have had the same Jesters since the 07/08 season (I probably have 200+ days of park skiing on these), and they have held up well and feel great every time I step in.
