Salomon XT Whisper Trail Running Shoe - Women's

When ladies in the know gear up for a road race or light trail run, they pull on the feathery-light Salomon Women’s XT Whisper Trail Running Shoe. This ultralight runner features a women’s-specific shape and an asymmetrical Quicklace to give you a secure fit with a single yank. The breathable mesh upper breathes moisture as you tear down the trail, and the Agile Chassis System cushions your foot from tree roots, rocks, and stray animals. Salomon also added a Contagrip outsole to keep you glued to your running surface of choice.

Look great but no flimsy & no support

I bought these as running shoes, but I'll keep them and wear them as street shoes. They're not supportive enough for running, not even on the treadmill in the gym. I've have 3 pair of Salomon GTX and wanted to go a little lighter, but alas, these are like trying to run in sandals. There's no way I would run on the road and never on a trail in them -- I'd end up breaking an ankle. I'm actually disappointed in my purchase, but I like the looks, so I'll keep them for street wear. They run large, so order 1/2 size down. They are wide in the toe area so it makes them comfy. The mesh is cool with lots of air flow. I'll just have to order a new pair of GTXs for actual running -- oh darn, yet another pair of shoes in the closet -- I'm lovin it!

Love these new whispers. Super cushiony, very comfortable and unbelievably light. Run in the XA Pro but wanted something for the gym/road and dirt paths I run a lot. The fit is just dreamy and they will be great in the hot weather. Salomon lacing is to die for.

I know these are new shoes from Salomon and I just got my first pair yesterday, but I haven't taken them off since I got them. They are SO comfortable - light weight and they just seem to fit perfectly. I usually wear a size 9 in other brands of trail running shoes so I got an 8.5 and the fit is just right. I'm taking them out on the trail this afternoon so after a few runs, I'll post an update. My opinion so far is that Salomon really has a winner in the Whisper!!
