Salomon The Dumont Alpine Ski - 2007

The Salomon Dumont Alpine Ski is the result of a mind-meld between freestyle super hero Simon Dumont and the rocket scientists at Salomon. This expert-level slopestyle weapon takes the finest Salomon LAB race room construction and kills it in the park and pipe. This advanced freestyle ski's monocoque construction diffuses pressure when you land, so you can stomp and flow into the next hit with perfect control. Pulse Pads (a sandwich of elastomer and two strips of thermoplastic) in the tip and tail help kill unwanted vibration during landing and takeoff, and the Full Wood Core gives you mad pop. Double-wall construction lends the Dumont Alpine Ski the durability to take on rail after rail. Novices need not apply.

Bottom Line: From truck drivers to switch 1080's, the Salomon The Dumont ski takes slopestyle skiing to a whole new level.

Sickness

Got these skis for my Birthday/christmas. They absolutely tear up the mountain! They are good both for the park and all mountain. The tips are flexible for a nice landing in the pipe. The skis also absorb the shock of your landing which makes tricks easier than ever before. Amazing skis...

NO, i skied a pair of thrusters ( almost the same ski) for 2 years and they held up great. The only thing about salomon skis, is that the bases tend to be a little soft and scratch easy, but the core held up fine. From what I heard salomon has some of the least warrenty issues out there. There just not real innovative in there desings.

Dumont and Thruster - Great!

By:
September 8, 2008

The Dumont and Thruster are both killer all-mountain skis, not just terrain park skis. They're very easy and quick to turn but not nervous. Even an intermediate skier can enjoy them. If you like the moguls or jump natural features they're totally FUN.
I ski Breckenridge and Vail and they can handle all the bowls. They're not a true fat or powder skis, but they can still handle powder and chop pretty well. These both evolved from the Salomon 1080, a true classic used by many top pros.
