Just because you’re headed out into cold, snowy conditions doesn’t mean you need a clunky winter boot. Slide into the Salomon Men’s Snowclog and make your way to the car or a warm pub. The waterproof suede upper features Thinsulate insulation to keep you warm and dry, and the burly ContaGrip sole keeps you glued to the slickest sidewalks.
Bottom Line: Ditch the bulky winter boots and slide into the Snowclog.
I've had a pair of these for years and they are still holding up VERY well to the tough conditions I use them in. I'd buy another pair, but I don't think these will fail me in my lifetime!
I love these shoes! After getting home from 2 consecutive 12 hr days at work I'm still wearing my shoes. "4 wheel drive soles" with comfortable slip on style. The shoes look almost dressy but they are definitely hard-working in all conditions.
continuation of my last note. My Ladies' Solomon Powerslides (clog) are a size 8 US and fit great. My Solomon Snow Clogs are size 7.5. Just wondering if the Snow Clogs run large -- I am looking to buy for my husband. We REALLY want the Powerslides for him but we can't find them anywhere. His Powerslide is FTYNO.YS8 643001. Art no. 871548. That is what is inside his Powerslides. He would love to get more of those in size 9.5. He has already bought 2 pair in the past. If we can't get them, then he will settle for the Snow Clog. He likes to slide into the shoe and go!
I have owned several different Snow Clogs. Mostly because I could never find exactly one that fit my criteria. I was looking for something that was causal, warm, waterproof and a slip-on. I live in Chicago and as of the last two years the winter weather has gotten colder and we are getting more snow than ever. I need to find a Clog that would work good in the snow, keep my feet dry and warm enough for the zero degree days and the last criteria was to be able to wear during the day in the office with a pair of Khaki pants. So big boots were out!
I currently have 3 pairs of different slip-on winter mocs, Keen Whistlers, Merrell Shiver Moc, and these Salomon Snowclogs. They are all Waterproof, insulated, have snow traction Soles, and of course a slip-on style...I love slip-ons.
The Salomons are not quite that causal and dont seem to work well with the office environment. They are more of a ski lodge clog. The sole is big and heavy with deep grooves...they are extremely functional in the snow!!! They have excellent traction. They are warm but not warm enough for much lower than 25 degrees. The build quality is good just not as good as the others...my opinion. They are the least stylist and I felt the footbed moved around easily. The are true to size and standard width. I would really rate these a 3.5 star but the site doesn't allow 1/2 stars. The biggest plus...the warranty. Salomon is awesome...lifetime on these babies!! They are a great company! And you cant beat the price! Of the 3 clogs I own this is the one I least wear and is in 3rd place on my list.
This is the only shoe I wear in the winter. I love them. I am on my 2nd pair. I lost the first pair but neither had shown ANY signs of needing replacement yet. I really don't know how old they are as I use them mostly in the winter. They must be 6 years old or more. They are great for Michigan winters and wet conditions. Not terribly sturdy but if you are not running they are great. Extremely comfortable! Ive walked big cities and never had problems. I hope Salomon still makes them when its time for me to get new ones; don't know when that will be... True to size, if anything a little ( < Half size) big. Wear thick socks and you will never be disappointed.
I have the ladies version and just checked my size. I normally wear an 8.5 US and mine are 7.5 US. I haven't worn an 7.5 since high school. I am goin to order them for my husband and he wears a 9.5 US. Do these normally run large? I have had them a while so I don't remember if I had to change the size.
I never thought anything could replace tennis shoes, and it always presented a problem in the colder seasons.purchased a pair of snowclogs,to my surprise the clogs felt more comfortable than some of my jogging shoes. When the snow hits my area I can't wait to slide into my clogs. Feet stay dry and warm. Haven't worn a pair of boots since. I think if I purchase boots they will be salomon as well.
My husband has now gone through 3 pairs of these over the years - he abosolutely LOVES them. So comfortable, warm but not toooo warm...and super light. I'm about to get his 4th pair right now. Highly recommended.
The shoes themselves are fantastic. I live in Chicago and mostly use them for my commute, but also have thrown them on to head around town with friends. Based on that, this is a 5-star rating. Unfortunately, Solomon did a terrible job of sizing these things. I've worn a size 11 for years and these things came and are just plain too big. I'd venture to say that a size 10 would fit me perfectly (though I've made do with my 11's). The only justification I can think of for why Salomon would have made these shoes so large for their size is to give you room to wear heavy socks under them. Either way, I think even if they were quite a bit smaller, I could still squeeze heavy socks into them comfortably.
I ordered these and got them (shipped to Northern Alberta) within about 6-8 days. They fit well, a size 13 is a size 13, with good width. They are not near as warm as I thought they would be, was about -6C this morning and feet felt a bit cold. Traction is awesome and these are superb in the snow. This is like wearing winter tires on your feet!
Wear thick socks and you'll be happy you bought these, especially at this price.
