The Salomon Snow Clog is the queen of winter footwear. The Snow Clog is often imitated, but stands out from the competition with superior traction, warmth and definitive style. Winter Contagrip sole material won't harden in cold conditions, meaning you keep superior traction in inferior weather. Snow Clogs are water resistant, so you'll stay dry even if it's dumping out. After a long day of skiing, the Snow Clogs are easy to slip into and the soft fleece lining will wrap your tired, weary feet in a pillow of comfort. If you work in a casual office the Snow Clog will make a great addition to your work wardrobe. *We recommend sizing up to one full size smaller than your normal US shoe size. If you know your Euro sizing, consult the sizing chart, and it will tell you the correct US shoe size to order.
Bottom Line: Whether you are working, relaxing or partying, Salomon Snow Clogs keep your feet warm and happy.
I live in Juneau, AK and these shoes did great all winter. They definitely run big, but mine fit well with big thick socks (which I wanted to wear anyway since it was cold). The shoes were warm and had good traction when it was icy. I work in a lab and they were comfortable to stand in all day long. I'd keep wearing them through the summer but they're too big with thinner socks. Overall, I'm very happy with them, looking forward to wearing them again next winter!
Great shoe but be sure to order down a size. I usually wear an 11 in womens, but I read other posts about this shoe and ordered a 10 and still have to wear two pair of socks! This shoe gets a great grip in the show and is very comfortable walking on pavement unlike other snow shoes I have purchased! A great buy.
This is my second time getting the shoe. The shoe was huge. I had to order a size smaller that what I got last time. The new one is just not as comfortable as the old one. They messed with the recipe!
These snow clogs are pretty good. They have the contra grip soles that don't freeze in below zero weather. I was just in Chicago where it was snowy and it was only 1 degree and the clog still kept me in the vertical position. No horizontal points of views of Chicago this last trip. They are warm too because of the Thinsulate lining. I like the fact that they are water resistant too. The 2 things I don't like are the leather tag that is sewn on the inside of the shoe. I find it a pain to always have to hold it while putting the shoe on. I can't just slip the shoe on. If if don't hold the tag while putting the shoe on, my heel pushes it into the inside of the shoe, then I have to dig it out with my index finger. The other thing that I am whining about is, I am used to comfort of Merrill Mocs, and these are just not as soft and springy. But, if I never tried Merrills before, I would say these were the bomb. All in all, a very good shoe.
These shoes are great for the snow, the "teeth" really do their job in helping to prevent slipping. They definitely run big. Buy at least a 1/2 size smaller than usual. They also run pretty wide.
You could probably buy a full size down to save the hassle of an exchange--otherwise great, great shoes. THE MOST INCREDIBLE SERVICE of any place I have ordered from online. Outstanding!!
I had a pair of Solomon Snow Clog STLs and I loved them. I wore them constantly to the point of wearing through them. I tried to order another pair and they don't make the STLs anymore, so I bought the normal ones. The first pair didn't fit. I tried another size, still not right. Sadly, I've had to move on to a different brand.
These things were developed for after ski, so they developed them with thick winter socks in mind. I bought my wife a 6 and it was too snug. Then I returned them, and bought a 6.5. Now they're too loose. I guess I need to buy her some quality winter socks. It's true what many say; buy a half size smaller. As far as traction goes these things are like snow tires for your feet. In snow, slush, and mild ice they cling. On rock hard ice well you're SOL. They are plenty warm, as I have a pair for myself. I can attest to that.
Tatsu, in Japan, I wanna come home and ski Jackson Hole
I ordered a pair of the Salomon Snow Clogs, and they are great. But like another reviewer said, order at least 1/2 size smaller -- they run very large.
If you have problems keeping your feet warm in the winter, this is your shoe. I love clogs and needed a winter version. I tried a pair last winter and wore them constantly. A couple of tips: you don't need thick socks with these shoes (they have thinsulate lining), and go down a half size from your regular shoe size. Enjoy!
My wife loves her snow clogs and says they only have one drawback. She thinks they seam to run a bit wide even though she has wide feet. Easy to get on and off, warm, dry and seam to breath well. Great product would buy again.
I bought my first pair of these clogs two winters ago in Salt Lake City and found them to be really warm and comfortable. Now I'm in New England and have not been able to find these shoes out here, so I was really glad to find them available online. I wore my old shoes last winter here in CT in what seems to be the coldest/snowiest winter in years, and they performed really well. I also received several compliments on their "aggressive" style. I hope more colors become available online since the stores in Utah had several to choose from, but I could only find black on the web. I highly recommend these snowclogs for everyday winter wear.
I purchased these last month in anticipation of wearing them at the ski resorts and I am very, very impressed with their performance. Rain, snow, sleet, ice...these babies grip any surface in any condition like you wouldn't believe. Comfort-wise, they're a perfect 10! I was so happy with them that I ordered Salomon's men's version clog for my boyfriend and he refuses to wear any other shoe in his closet! Just one thing, order a half-size smaller than what you would usually wear. Even with my thickest socks on, the clogs seem a little roomy.
I read the reviews and ordered a half size smaller and they were still too big. Probably should've ordered a full size smaller. They're also very wide. Wished they would've fit.
Dear Backcountry store, I just love my snow clogs. The temps here have been well below 0 and my feet are toasty warm! My first pair and will NOT be my last. I'm planning a trip to Paris, France in a few weeks....and they'll be keeping me warm all the way. Thanks for a great product! Mae G. Smith
I wear them to work, light hiking, around the house...to walk the dog. They are absolutely wonderful and comfortable. I'm giving my Dansko clogs a rest until spring..these are the best!
I had to return these snow clogs because they were so huge. They felt really comfortable and I know they're awesome shoes from what I've heard - but anyone ordering these should order a whole size smaller - not just a half size.
Unfortunately I had to return my gear. I'll have to say I was grossly mislead on the sizing for the Snow Clog. It was recommended that I buy a women's size 8 or 8 1/2 which was way too large. I normally wear a 7 1/2. I was told the snow clogs run small, which is totally wrong, they run extremely big. I ordered a 7, and it was still too big. The fit is very odd. They are very loose around the top slip on area, which causes the heel to slide around. I was not happy, wish I could have found a better fit. Your online tech totally misled me on the sizing which I'm sure is not his fault, but I think you need to get a better idea of how large the sizes run. I would recommend the same or 1/2 size smaller than a regular women's shoe, and I have big wide feet too!
After reading the reviews on the clogs, I ordered a pair, I ordered a 1/2 size smaller because of the recommendation on one of the reviews. Well, I ended up giving those clogs away as I needed to order an even smaller size. I absolutely love the shoes, but they definitely run big, I wear two pairs of socks and have orthotics and the heel still slides up a little when I walk. Other than that, I think they are very comfortable, I am excited to see how they perform in the snow and ice as where I live we get a ton of it!
In all my shoes I am a size 8. I bought an 8 and they were huge, returned and bought a 7.5 and they were also very large. My feet didn't shrink so it leads me to believe the snow clogs run larger than normal sizes.
This is my second pair of snow clogs by Salomon. A great shoe I wear year round in all sorts of weather. Great service and extremely fast delivery by Backcountry. Very pleased with their service and I highly recommend buying on-line from this company. I know I will be a repeat buyer. Thanks.
I ordered and then returned these shoes sadly because they were too large. Despite ordering them one whole size smaller than my normal size, they still slopped on my feet when walking. Also, I have a very small ankle, so the backs did not stay on. If you have normal ankles though, I bet they'd be a great shoe.
The snow clog is a great, all-around winter shoe. I have very wide feet-and this shoe is able to accommodate very thick, warm socks-hooray. I have worn them in snow, slush, and on the ice--and I have yet to fall or slip or slide. You obviously can't walk into deep snow---but it's a great town shoe and so handy to keep by the front door. It's not the hottest looking shoe but it is very functional and comfortable.
These Salomon snow clogs are the best! They slip on quick, match anything one ought to be wearing in a ski town, are warm, and do a great job keeping out the snow. They also grip very well.
Take their advise, order a size or so smaller. They were too big and even on my sister's larger foot the ankle support wasn't adequate and they kept slipping off her heel.
I absolutely love my snow clogs. They have great grip and my feet stay really warm. The thing to watch out for is their sizing. I ordered my regular shoe size to find I was swimming...so went down 1/2 size...still swimming...down one more half size (1 full size total) and now they fit great. Ask about the European size if you know yours as I found it to be more accurate. Also, you don't need super thick socks. I wear thinner wool socks and my feet are plenty warm.
This is a great shoe for just wearing around when there is snow and ice underfoot. Very comfortable all day, and warm, too! What everyone else says about ordering small is true. I wear an 8.5/9 in a regular shoe, a 9.5 in a running shoe, and ordered an 8 in the snow clogs, but probably could have gone with the 7.5. With thick socks on, they fit great, but with regular socks they are a little loose. It doesn't prevent me from wearing them, however. The little extra room is fine.
These are the 2nd pair of these I have ordered. These are very comfortable and convenient for winter use (as opposed to putting on boots). They are quality made and I got 3 years of heavy use out of the 1st pair. I would recommend these highly to anyone interested in purchasing them.
I've barely taken these shoes off since receiving them. They only issue I had with them is that the sizes run really big so I had to return my first pair and order another pair a 1/2 size smaller. I probably could have gone down another 1/2 size and been happy too. But, it's a quality product and I've been walking the snowy streets of Boston with no issues. I'd definitely purchase these again.
I LOVE my Salomon Snow Clogs. They are very comfortable and warm. The only thing I didn't like was the sizing chart is very off. I had to send them back once and when I received the next 1/2 size down I could have actually used a full size down, but I did not want to send them back again and deal with shipping charges. The sizing chart should be adjusted down one full size.
These clogs are so terrific that I immediately ordered a pair for my 77-year-old mother who also is delighted with them. They provide terrific stability, warmth and comfort and look very presentablea combination almost impossible to find. I love them, Mom loves them, and your delivery team is truly world class. The price was perfect too. Thanks a million!!
I headed the warnings in other reviews and ordered a full size smaller and the clogs were still about a 1/2 size too big. Other than that they are great comfortable shoe that are easy on and off.
I broke both the Tibia and Fibula bones in my right leg two years ago, and as a result I could not wear everyday shoes on my right foot. The Snow Clog was recommended to me by two of my co-workers. I absolutely love them. I bought a half size smaller and they fit perfectly. They are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. Needless to say, I walk on the snow and ice with a lot more confidence.
These are a great product. I've been wearing them from the first season they came out. I don't slip, they keep me warmthey rock in the snow clog world. But, these are very big on meI put in double liners and they are still big.
II purchased these shoes 5 years ago and haven't found anything better for easy on and off, total warmth and absolutely dry feet. They are great for those light snowfalls before the big boots need to be lugged out, as well as rainy fall days and nights that I have to walk my dogs. I am assured by the bottoms that I will have the utmost in secure traction and not take a spill if there is some ice that is not noticeable. There is nothing wrong with the pair that I have, just a womans prerogative for a new color!
I love my snow clogs... I now own four pair. They are so awesome to walk around in the snow with. Feet are never cold which is saying a lot since mine are always cold. The only thing I wish Salomon would do is make a boot resembling the snow clog so then I could wear them in deep snow, too!
I recently bought Salmon snow clogs. I love them, they're great in snow but..I bought a size 5 1/2 because I was told they run a little big. They fit perfectly when I got them, however, within an hour of wearing them (with thin socks) they were slipping off. I wish I had bought size 5 but didn't know they would stretch that much.
