Salomon Puntera 2 GTX Hiking Shoe - Women's - 2007

When heavy boots are overkill, but running shoes don't provide enough protection, lace up the Salomon Women's Puntera 2 GTX Hiking Shoe and hit the trail. These light hikers' lasts are built specifically for women's lower calf shape and narrower heel, so you can hike mile after mile with less foot pain and blisters. In rainy, less than ideal conditions, the Puntera 2's Gore-Tex insert keeps water and moisture out while still allowing your feet to breathe freely. I ordered this hiking shoe for a geology trip for New Mexico, Colorado, Utah and the Grand Canyon. I have several hiking boots and shoes. I wanted one I could wear with shorts and still have the support and comfort. I love them. I have already worn them hiking and just to school with jeans and a sweatshirt. LOVE Salomon. Plenty of toe box room and my foot doesn't slide forward. The best hiker is one you don't think about while you are out there.
