Salomon has made my favorite boot

My boyfriend bought me a pair of these two years ago in a tan brown. I absolutely love them! I have worn them non-stop all winter for the past two winters and now the heels are starting to wear down but only because of my constant use. I had back problems at first wearing these, but I put some Dr. Scholls foot pads in and they have worked so well. I live in a northern climate, and they're not the best for ice but they didn't seem to be much worse than a pair of Keens. They were also wonderful to wear when I was studying in Finland, they made me feel so Scandinavian! I also liked that no one I knew had them, so they were unique and that showed with all the compliments I received! These have been my most favorite winter shoe ever!

I need a large toe box usually in shoes and have a hard time fitting them, but these worked well. I would suggest these to anyone.

I live in Eastern Washington and we get lots of wet snow and it is very hilly where I live. Will this boot perform well when it comes to keeping my feet dry and warm? Also, how is the traction with hills?

Warmth isn't a problem. My feet have always been warm, it wasnt untill I wore a hole in them that I noticed how warm they actually keep my feet warm. Traction on the other hand is more of a problem. I also live in a very snowy region, and I dont have a problem with just snow, its the ice that can sometimes be more problemsome. So ice, not good traction, but snow I think its just as good as any normal shoe.

I love these boots in theory but was less than impressed when I got them. I got the brown/red and the lower is very dark brown. It looked more like I was wearing rubber boots than these cute boots I was envisioning. The knit upper was a great pattern but too slouchy to wear under jeans and looked pretty silly over my skinniest pants. I exchanged them for the Salomon Ivy Felt Boot which I absolutely love.

Write your question here... This may sound like a bit of a strange request, but please bear with me. I have been making appearances as Santa Claus and more recently as St. Nicholas, for the past 10 years. This year, I will make my first appearance as "Joulupukki," the Finnish Santa Claus; and I have been seeking a boot that fits well into my costume. This woman's style boot seems ideal. So my question is: do you have a woman's size boot that would fit a man who wears a men's size 11? I know that men would not usually wear this style boot, but it does seem ideal for the "Joulupukki" costume. Thanks for your assistance. Leo Treadway

i wear a women's size 7 and in men's sizes i would wear a size 5.

women's size = x men's size + 2

so i don't think the largest size available in this boot (10) would fit since you would probably need a women's size 13 (if such even exists) to accommodate a men's size 11.

I am using this boots to walk to campus everyday. I am in Ohio and this boots have worked very well for me in winter time. The material is very good and I feel very comfortable with them too. Plus, they are extremely cute.

I am in a very flat town so I don't know how they work in more extreme topography.
