Spyder Charge Jacket - Women's - 2008

The design lines and color accents on the Spyder Women’s Charge Jacket compliment your curves without going all snow-bunny fluffy and flowery. You shred on stormy, cold days and in sunny weather, and this jacket handles it all. Spyder gave the Charge 10K-rated fabric, critically taped seams and Thinsulate insulation for low temps, and Underarm zips and a removable heavy-weather hood for bluebird days. The zip-out powder skirt comes in handy on waist-deep days, and you can leave this skirt at home when you want to reduce bulk on a groomer day.

Bottom Line: Feminine but not flowery.

Hi Lisa, this jacket stops just at the hip joint yet it includes the widest part of a womans hips.. I am a true size 8 and the size 8 jacket fits perfectly, yet it is ever so slightly snug just at that point on the area where the hip becomes the top of the thigh..But there is plenty of freedom of movement by not restricting the thigh in any way. The butt is covered quite a bit..but just enough, and I love all the perfectly placed pockets and the zipped pit vents. Great Jacket.! Reni

Awesome Spyder Jacket

I gave this jacket a true test over the past week. It was comfortable and warm for both alpine skiing (10 degrees below zero with wind!) and cross country. The hood fits over a helmet, and the high neck keeps out the wind. Highly recommended! AND it looks HOT!

Yes, it's pretty warm. The 180g of insulation certainly helps out. With a little bit of layering such as under armor, or a long sleeve shirt/sweatshirt, you're going to stay plenty warm when it drops down below freezing.
