Spyder Patsch Tech Soft Shell Jacket - Men's - 2008

The Spyder Patsch Tech Soft Shell looks, fits, and feels like a hoody, but blocks wind and light precipitation like a jacket thanks to its stretch-woven face. The micro-fleece fabric backer wicks and insulates, maintaining a comfortable climate inside as the tough face fabric fends off the elements. A Spylon water-repellent finish keeps you dry, and the lack of a waterproof membrane means no vapor barrier, and ample breathability as a result. From fall training to winter après, and as an outer shell for spring corn feasts, don’t be surprised when you find yourself reaching for the Patsch Tech year ‘round.

Bottom Line: We forgot about the spider. The spider’s way rad too.

Can someone who has this jacket tell me if they run a little

Can someone who has this jacket tell me if they run a little small/large? I'm 6'1 170 and can either wear a medium or large depending on the cut....sometimes the sleeves on a large are too long. Thanks..

All season answer. I wear this jacket as a hoodie, as a base layer, or as a going out on the town worm layer. I have been in the cold wind, falling snow, and drizzling rain and stayed worm and dry. I would not call it a rain jacket, but perfect if you have a protective layer in the wet cold.
The hood is fixed, which I like because it keeps my neck worm and it is always ready.

I love my other Spyder gear (fleece as a gift a couple years

I love my other Spyder gear (fleece as a gift a couple years ago and a original insulator bought here) and the only thing stopping me from getting this softshell is the lack of a medium in the steel color. Hopefully someone at Backcountry can tell me if I can get one before my mid January ski trip..

I like this jacket for hiking, hanging out, spring ski days, and for running to the video store. All around comfort with a high level of functionality when you need it. Great jacket. Keeps the wind out well.

Had to return ... jacket is more like a parka, long body. Hood doesn't fold or zip in. The sunrise color is more bright orange than yellow. It's the great pumpkin look. BC needs to provide more specs like back length and weight etc.

Can anyone describe the hurricane color? It looks like a dark

Can anyone describe the hurricane color? It looks like a dark blue for this jacket. But other spyder products have a lighter blue picture for the hurricane color.
