Scarpa T2X Telemark Ski Boot - 2006

Scarpa has improved upon the design of one of the most popular tele boots on the market with the T2X Men's Telemark Ski Boot. This enhanced design has the same flex that we all loved in the T2, but Scarpa upgraded it with an asymmetric dual-density cuff for more power and control when the fluff gives way to heavy gnar. Scarpa also increased the height of the thermo-moldable liner and beefed up the power strap to bring performance to a new level. Buckles on the T2X have been re-positioned to reduce pressure on your instep. Scarpa also added a replaceable scuff guard in-front of the lower buckle to increase durability. Those Italians think of everything.

Bottom Line: The standard has just been raised with the introduction of the Scarpa T2X Telemark Ski Boot.

Great!

The review above (Love them....) sums up the dynamics of the boot. These boots are great. They are awesome for back country tele adventures. They are the perfect flex (not too aggressive, not to soft). The user can be intermediate or advanced. These are light weight, fit in a backpack easily, and come in a really cool color.

Love them.......

I'm a new telemark skier this year and these boots have made all the difference. I demo'd the T1 (too rigid) and the Garmont Syner-G's (too wide). If you have a narrow heel these will work out great.

I found they were rigid just enough as to not be over kill like the T1's. Additionally, no break-in time.

My third pair of T2's

By: Backcountry.com Employee

I have been riding T2's since '92. The T2X may not look to different at a glance, but they are quite a bit better for you diehard T2 tourers.
First even though they are taller, have a third buckle and can crank those new fatter boards better then those old T2's, these weigh at least a pound less! Gotta love that. The reason is mostly the thermomoldable liners. Those took a little getting used to. Even though they fit like a glove, they are a bit firmer then old style liners and it took a few days to get used to.

Great Touring Boot

If you're looking for a true touring boot, this is definitely your best choice of boots. However if you are looking to do more hard charging telein I would go up to the Scarpa T1 for more support and stability.
