No longer do you have to choose between your big, supportive boots and your light boots. Now you have both with the Scarpa Women's ZG 65 GTX Hiking Boots. If long-distance day hikes and burly overnight trips are common outings for you, then you'll appreciate the excellent support that these boots offer. Their full-length Hi-Flex shanks are plenty tough for rocky terrain but still allow a natural stride. Scarpa outfitted the ZG 65's with super-durable Hi-Trail soles to keep you on your feet, and with Crosta leather and Cordura uppers and Gore-Tex XCR liners, the Scarpa ZG 65 boots ensure your feet stay dry, even when the trail isn't.
Bottom Line: Combine the support of your waffle stompers with the agility of your running shoes, and you have the Scarpa ZG 65 XCR Hiking Boots.
perfect fit, lightwieght, good footbed structure, making them really comfy. shipping was really fast 6 days and that was to ireland! so far, so good. no breaking in needed, wore them for 6km walk 1st day no probs.
About two months before I was going to climb Kilimanjaro, I noticed my Vasque boots were too worn for the trip. I know. . . In any event, I found these about one month out after trying on tons of boots. They needed virtually no break-in time. I climbed Kili in January -- not one blister. Great support, great fit, good in wet conditions, and warm at the Summit with 20 below wind chill. This is my first gear review ever -- these Scarpas are the best boots I've ever owned.
I bought these boots 3 months before I did the Inca Trail. All it took to break them in was a few 4 hour walks, and then it felt like I was wearing pillows. I didn't get a single blister or sore spot on the Inca trail, or during the rest of our 2 weeks in Peru. I don't have strong ankles or arches, so I usually get sore feet and legs when I stand for long periods of time, but these boots completely cured that. Highly recommended for anyone who need extra support. Well worth the price, very good value.
I bought these boots in preparation for doing the Inca trail. I've been wearing them everywhere, and they are amazingly comfortable and very breathable, my feet don't get too warm at all. They also broke in really quickly - it only took about 20 accumulated hours of walking, mainly up and down the hills in my neighborhood.
I bought these boots based on the previous review for Kilimanjaro and had a similar great experience. I actually only wore them for about 5 miles of break in time and never had a problem while hiking Kili - perfect for both the ascent and descent.
I got these for my girlfriend as a good all around winter shoe and also as a hiking shoe. She loves the way they fit and the durability and waterproofness of them.
