Salomon utilized space-age carbon-injected components in the Z12 Ti Alpine Ski Binding to decrease weight while maintaining high-end durability and performance. You get excellent power transmission and shock absorption, along with dependable releasability during impact. Extra long auto-adjusting wings in the toe piece give you the best possible fit and power transfer, and a Salomon Control Pedal increases rigidity for those who don’t tolerate wiggle room in a binding. Feel the snow under your feet, and enjoy the performance and security that comes with it.
Bottom Line: Get a trustworthy binding and ride hard.
Well any binding will work for you, technically. It doesn't matter how tall you are or how big your foot is. If you ski super aggressive or are in the park a lot, or weight 200+, I think a binding with a slightly higher DIN is better. If you aren't any of these things, then yeah, good binding for you man.
With the Invaders, you can grab the 90 mm brake option of these, and you should be alright. If you are an aggressive skier, a bigger guy, or throw huge in the park, look for a binding with a higher DIN setting than 12, maybe 14 or 15.
hi.. will be this binding good for salomon lord ? or will be better Diamir Freeride Plus, Salomon STH 12,14,16?. im not skier which prefer alpine skiing (walk up to hill on ski) ... i ride in forest and so hard allmountain. my weight is cca 220.. is this binding enough compact for my weight and type of skiing ? thx for answer
i actually bought z14s. having said this, i am able to say that if the z12 is even half as good as the z14 (i only has a higher din setting) , you are in for a great binding. never sad with salomon products thus far.
I just bought a pair of BD stigma's - for trees and light moguls.I am 6'-3" and weigh 235. I am looking for a pair of light weight bindings to match my skis. Please not these will be strictly used with an alpine set up. I thought about the salomon Z12 TI (90), will these bindings work for me, or will they get blown out on my first tree run?
Ive had these bindings since the beggining of the season. I ride park, groomers, and back country. Ive jumped 20ft cliffs with these bindings with no problems. Park has given me no issues as well.
I think they are good bindings.
I ride very hard all mountain, including lots of tree runs. They have withstood everything Ive thrown at them thus far. IMO, a good binding for a good price.
(I have them mounted to some Fischer twin tip skiis)
If I am looking at the Salomon Lord 177cm, which I think is 87 under foot, what size of this binding should I get, (i.e the 90, 100, or 115) - I am guessing not the 115..... Thanks.
These will fit on any ski not only salomon, they are good bindings, but if you ski hard they will break, my son who weighs 140lbs broke a pair in the park, and i had problems with the toe piece on a pair of guns. but if you cruise groomers and don't ski to hard they will work ok. If you like salomons the STH 14 or 16 are excellent as are the look px's or rossi sas2 or axial2 bindings.
