Salomon Kaos Ski Boot - Men's - 2008

Wear the Salomon Men's Kaos Ski Boot to unleash anarchy on the pipe and park. Salomon gave the Kaos their Freestyle Spaceframe construction for super light weight, and a progressive two-buckle design that makes this park and pipe boot feel like an extension of your foot. A roomy toe box increases comfort, reduces black-nail landings, and allows free toe motion for making minute balance changes when sliding rails. Faux fur on the liner adds steeze, while thermo-moldable tongue and ankle regions create a custom fit. To customize the Kaos' 100-index flex, simply remove the flex rivets on the tongue and get low.

Bottom Line: If your boots are holding you back, buckle into the Salomon Kaos.

lots of flex in these boots, super soft, so you move front and back more, which helps cushion the shin bang. There are a number of ways to make it feel better, like tighten up like normal, then back off a buckle, replace your power strap with a Booster Strap, or get new liners with more front padding. Getting you boots in to a bootfitter is a good idea too, because they can set them to be able to move the best with your style and skill level.

Love This Boot

By:
February 12, 2009

I got these boots over the summer, and have skied 5 days a week since nov. and must say these boots look brand new. I ski with a kid that bought the spk pro for $700 and the leather is ripped, and is wishing he saved the $400 and got these . I did put a stronger strap (the "Booster Strap") on it because i get bad shin bang, but i love these boot.

Lincoln, try going to your local shop and putting on a pair to see how they fit with your wide feet. On Thursday after class.

Dude... this boot doesn't have a customizable flex. It's a 100, and that's it. You can alter other things in it like lean and cant, but not flex.

Sorry man, took a better look at my buddy's, and I'm pretty sure it's just an allen key.

Boots BOY

By:
January 9, 2009

These boots rock... They absorb almost all impact and are usually always pretty good at holding in heat unless you leave them in your car overnight... we've all done it and its the same result with any boot... these boots for the price are amazing... there is no reason to buy an SPK pro series boot for just the extra leather strap when this is the SAME boot minus that. makes a 45 foot gap and landing in the flats feel like nothing.. a+ work from Salomon

I am unaware of any difference. The Kaos appears to have the same liner. The only major difference for the average park jibber is the padded toe box in the Pro. (You can make your own for the Kaos with some adhesive padding)

I think this guy is confused on the names, but I don't know the info so take this with some salt:according to salomons site, the kaos are rated at 3600, the spk's (Pros?) are heavier at like 4600, exact weight i have no idea... i know the spk's seem to be more forgiving with a flex index at 110, unlike the kaos which is at 100, the spk (Pro?) has a extra toe absorber as well... you get more for your buck with the spk (Pro?) but in essence they are the same boot... if your worried about weight the kaos, if your worried about movement and such, then spk but in relation to each other they are about the same boot
