Salomon Fish Ski - Kids' - 2008

Deck your aspiring little trickster out with the Salomon Kids’ Fish Ski, a junior twin tip of just the right build and proportions for park and pipe play. But the floaty Fish’s midsize waist helps it hold its own in the powder and crud as well, with ample sidecut for groomer cruising. Salomon’s fiberglass Monocoque construction and lightweight composite core make the ski agile and maneuverable, making it a great match for the pint-sized sort who want to follow their big brothers into the terrain park. The twin tip design lets your young freestyler ski straight or switch equally well.

Bottom Line: Style him out.

Well if you wanna keep buying skis season after season you could probably buy him the 130's, but I would say grab the 140's, which will feel maybe a little too long right now, but should last until he can grab something around the 160 mark.

Pretty much anything will work, but you want something in the DIN range of under 10, because at the size of little groms, you don't need huge DIN settings. This is probably one of the cooler youth ski bindings you can find: http://www.backcountry.com/store/DYN0223/Dynastar-PX-Team-Wide-Brake-Ski-Binding-Kids.html
or you can just look around for something under the DIN of 10.

My son is 8 and on Atomic 120cm skis. He want to migrate towards a more freestyle ski... do you have to make any sizing adjustments to account for the twin tip (i.e. less edge for a given length)???
