Salomon Optima Snowboard Boot - Women's - 2008

Pull on the Salomon Women's Optima Snowboard Boot for performance that doesn’t compromise your comfort. Salomon’s anatomical Power Frame upper creates incredible responsiveness by fitting snugly to your leg and foot while the faux-fur lining and Conform'able foot bed provide a cushy pad for your over-worked dogs. The Sensiflex sole softens up your landings and grips the snow when you hike the pipe and the Powerlace Pro Soft lacing system lets you adjust your boots to your riding style. The Optima Snowboard Boots’ medium-stiff versatile flex performs with precision on steep, technical terrain and keeps your feet cozy from first chair to last.

Bottom Line: Optimize performance and comfort.

How do these compare to the F22w? Are they better for a narrow, low volume foot?

F22's are super super soft. These are more on the stiff side. Both were really comfy on my wide feet, but I preferred the stiffer boot. As far as sizing goes, I typically wear a 7.5 or 8 in shoes and I bought this boot in a 24.5 and it fits just right.

4th pair of Optimas

By:
April 13, 2009

After going through 4 pairs of boots in 2 seasons, I finally found the Optima and have worn nothing else since. The 2008-2009 model shown here is my fourth pair, and they do not disappoint.

As for sizing, I wear an 8.5 or 9 shoe and bought a 25 boot. If you buy them, I recommend taking them to a shop to have the liner heat molded. It makes them even more comfortable.

So if my last pair of snowboard boots were an 8.5, what do I

So if my last pair of snowboard boots were an 8.5, what do I do here? There is no 8.5 on their sizing chart! I don't want to get ones that are too small, but I don't want too big either... sometimes I wear a 9 in other shoes..

I'm an 8.5 or 9, and I currently have some solomons that are a 25 according to their sizing.

AWESOME

These boots are fantastic. So warm, so comfortable, sturdy. I can't wait to take them out on epic pow days. I expect these to last more than 100 days this season. Sizing is a little off, I suggest trying them on in person somewhere. I usually wear an 8.5, 9 and I bought 25's which is like a 7.5
