Salomon Impact 10 Ski Boot - Men's - 2007

Wear the Salomon Men's Impact Pro Ski Boot to attack the powder, groomers, and everything in between. This medium-stiff flex boot's Second Skin shell construction increases sensitivity and comfort, as well as cuts down on unnecessary weight. Three types of material make up the shell, and the thickness varies throughout, which gives you support right where you need it. Salomon's new 3D buckles are not only micro-adjustable, these buckles can also be mounted in three different positions on the shell for complete customization. Salomon traditionally fits people with mid- to wide-volume feet, and the Impact 10 is no exception. A versatile 100mm last with roomier neoprene toe box gives you plenty of comfort, while the heat-moldable liner wraps around your midfoot and locks down your heel. For expert skiers looking for a blend of high performance and comfort, the Impact 10 is an ideal match.

Bottom Line: Ride the entire mountain all day, everyday with the Salomon Impact Pro Ski Boot.

Awesome

Finally upgraded to these boots after skiing in my old boots for over 5 years. THEY ARE AMAZING. This is the only boot that was truly comfortable on my foot. I used to race gates back in the day, and these are stiff enough for carving, but won't bang your shins in the backcountry.

I have a pair of Salomon Xwave 9 boots that I bought a number

I have a pair of Salomon Xwave 9 boots that I bought a number of years ago after renting them. The shop engraved "11.5" in the back. The sole length is 335 mm. Otherwise, I can't find a size on the boot. I am an expert/advanced skier, 6'1, 180 lbs, 55 years old.Questions:Are these Salomon size 11.5?Would you recommend the Impact 10 or Falcon 10 (or some other boot)? What size?

The 335 mm bootsole would be a 29.0/29.5 shell. roughly size 11.5 or 12 street shoe.I think the Falcon is a more direct descendant of the X-wave, but I bet the Impact would work well for you too. Especially at $299.

I wear an 11 1/2 or 12 street shoe. I bought these first in 29.5. The shell was way too big. 3+ fingers behind my heel. switche to the 28/28.5 shell with a 28.5 liner. They fit great. Put some heat moldable insoles in and these boots rip. I've been skiing for almost 40 years. These are by far the most comfortable boots I've owned. Stiff and responsive. They let me put everything into the ski almost instintively. $299.00 for these boots is a steal.

Perfect boots for you. I'm 6'2 and 205 lbs., expert skier in Colorado. The boot liners are so much nicer than their lower models and built to last and the shell design has plenty of stiffness to keep your heft (and mine) from keeping the boots from flexing into middle earth. If you are athletic, the only other boots you should consider are racing boots, which may be too stiff for your poor old bones. I've tried the stiffest non-racing Technica boots and these are the same stiffness with better liner materials and style. You won't be disappointed if you are getting back to your advanced groove. If you stay on the groomers, then stick with something like Nordica Speedmachine 10.

Excellent all around boot

Finally got ride of my 10 year old Salomon Boots and picked these up last year end of year sale. Best money I have ever spent. Just inserted a custom set of cork insoles and hate taking the boots off now. I ski bumps, carve and race - these boots absolutely rock. Best thing about these boots is they are easy to get in and out of and they weigh almost half of my old Salomon boots. I am 5'10 and 160 pounds with a size 26.5. Highly recommend this boot especially on sale!
