Salomon Gun Alpine Ski - 2007

The name says it all. The Salomon Gun is a big-mountain freeride weapon to satisfy your addiction. From airing off cornice to AK faces, these wide twintip sticks exemplify cutting-edge freestyle. Salomon's monocoque construction diffuses makes these skis burly and gives the Gun killer edgehold. The Gun's fat footprint and less sidecut not only give it killer float, but stability for pointing it down must-not-fall chutes. Salomon also gave the Teneighty Gun thick edges and a double wall construction for killer durability.

Bottom Line: Point it, huck it, and stomp it on the Salomon Gun Alpine Ski.

Bomber Ski

This was my first fat ski. It holds up great in crud and pretty much any condition. I was suprised on how well it held an edge on hardpark considering its width. It may not be the stiffiest ski but it is great for straitlining and doesn't wash out. Salomon did a great job on the base. I've run over some big rocks and there isn't a scratch on my ski. Great for stomping cliffs. Recomended.

Does the 100% guarantee policy allow you to ride the skis first?

Does the 100% guarantee policy allow you to ride the skis first? In other words, can I ride my new skis, and then decide if I want to return them?

Yes. Mount them, ride them, go bigger than you ever have before and even then, if your not diggin' 'em, bring them back.

Perfect All mountain Ski

By:
April 8, 2008

I picked up a pair of Guns a little late this season. Like others have said, they are a little soft for carving when your crusing back down to the base. I was very suprised how well they held up in the trees. Over all, very pleased with my purchase. I look forward to a full powder season with my new Guns!

hey I just got a pair of the '08 guns and I can't decide

hey I just got a pair of the '08 guns and I can't decide to mount my bindings at the classic stance or the progressive stance. does mounting the bindings a little farther back make it way harder to do spins or is it insignificant? I'd appreciate any comments.

I would say the spin part is insignificant in my experience. You'll notice more by wearing a light backpack than changing your mounting. It is more for riding switch than anything.

Excellent ski

Throws down in pow and lands drops well. Light and very spinnable with a center mount. Can hook a bit in more packed conditions. If you like to drive a ski super hard, might not be the best because it's flexy. I'm 6' and 185 and have a lazier style and it suits me well.
