These shorts are very thin and light. They seem like they might be nice, but they were way too long. I could not keep them because of the excessive length. I would recommend the salomon amphib shorts over these.

I decided to try these out and see how they measure up to the Salomon Amphib (great short by the way). Great fabric, these are durable, lightweight, and quick drying. They have a very short rise, but it’s not as mobility limiting as I thought. They are definitely a hip-hugger type of short. They are also very long, I am 6'6" (XL) and the legs go down slightly past my knees, they might dwarf a shorter person. Still trying these out, but the only concern that I have is the elastic waistband. It appears that it might be well stretched out before the shorts are even close to being retired. It won't be enough to discourage me from getting another pair though. I just ordered another color. Hope this helps.
