You can wear them skiing in Canada in the winter, but they're not insulated, so you'll have to wear long underwear or something depending on the temperature.

These pants are great! Not too baggy- they are cut like a good pair of jeans. They are a little stretchy so you can layer under them as well. The fleece lining is warm though so they are pretty warm as they are. They fit great and don't make you look like the michelin man. True to size but a little long. I got a small and I am 5'3" and 120 lbs. Love them!
