Rossignol Storm Snowboard - 2008

Rossignol built the Storm Snowboard for riders who get stoked on the Jones but want something with a little more flex. You know, so you actually can ride it without ripping full-blast all the time. The medium-stuff feel lets you slay steep couloirs and spines as well as cruise groomers when you’re in a mellow mood. A sintered 4400 base ensures you get all the speed you need to clear a huge backcountry gap, and the wood 6420 core provides plenty of pop off the lip.

Bottom Line: An all-mountain board that doesn’t require Alaskan steeps to enjoy.

I received this board from Rossi/Jeremy for some work I did for them. This board is meant to ride fast. It's stiff, directional and not much side cut. Handsome board! I think I might make it into a split board with Spark R&D bindings!

I weigh about 175 lbs and 5 feet 7inch tall. Intermediate freerider that rides only once a year in Colorado. Looking into a new board.Your scale suggests boards over 160 and I am hesitant to shop that big. I like the Rossingal 158 Any other suggestions. My board now is a 156.

Hi Mike, I'm 6' tall and weigh 175lbs, I've been riding 11 years. I ride a 154cm board for park riding and a 160 for everything else. I own a 165 split board but it feels too big and clumsy and turns too slow for me. I'd say a 157 would be a good all around size for you. I live in Tahoe and our snow is heavier, so understand that. Be weary of advice given by guys in a shops. If they were real ski/board bums they'd have night jobs.
