Rossignol SAS 110 Wide Ski Binding - 2008

Rossignol designed the SAS 110 Wide Ski Binding to be compact and to have excellent power transfer for park and pipe airtime. The heel piece’s angled design directs power from your boot directly downward to the edge of your ski, which helps you initiate and link turns effortlessly and efficiently. The SAS 110 Wide Binding’s Dual Action II construction lets your boot exit the binding freely in the event of a twisting fall, which eases the strain on your poor ol’ joints--they're still trying to shake off the trauma of your childhood love of roof-jumping.

Bottom Line: Dropping…

I just ordered the 4frnt STLs and I'm wondering if those would be a good combo with the STLs. I ski mostly all mountain.A friend recommended I buy the Dynastar PX 12 Lifter Wides, but these are a bit cheaper and I won't spend more if I dont have to.

Buy the Look PX 12 Lifter WB Ski Binding they are the same binding as the Dynastars but cheaper than both of the bindings you have listed above. I recommend lifter bindings over any other style binding.

What exactly is a freeride binding and will these bindings be fine for my fat powder skis?

Freeride bindings are simply going to be a little tougher and more geared towards harder skiing and landing airs. This will be fine for your fat powder skis as long as they are not much fatter than 110mm. Otherwise you will have to bend the brakes to make them fit around the waist of your skis, which is not that big a deal but something to keep in mind.

My new pow skis are 112 underfoot. Would I be able to bend these that much or do I need to find another binding because the bindings with 110, 115 and 120 mm brakes cost a lot more....

Any dedicated ski shop should easily be able to bend the brakes out 2mm, although this usually voids warranty, so think about that first. It's also fairly easy to do yourself, but I recommend the shop.

so dude, the break width has nothing to do with your boot size. this has to do with your waste width of your ski. so in short this will work with your size 10.5 shoe.
