Hi. I'm planing to get one of these for the next season and was thinking to put Marker duke bindings on but not sure if that's good idea. I'm not planing to spent much time by hiking just time to time . And also need help with sizing. I'm 165lbs and 5ft9''. At the moment i'm skiing on Line Elizabeth 171, Rossignol Scratch 179 and Stoeckli laser cross pro 178.

I'm trying to figure out which ski is best for me. I am an ex-junior olympic east coast ski racer (15 yrs ago!) and now mostly ski in the west but like to ski fast on groomers, and also hit the powder. I am about 110 lbs and people keep trying to put me into women's skiis and they feel like butter! My last pair of racers was volkl. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Although I don't doubt you can handle this ski, 185cm or 195cm might be over kill for someone your size. Check out the Volkl Gotama and 4FRNT VCT. These skis are some of the stiffest choices in the freeride ski category. Both skis are awesome and have been some of the best reviewed skis over the past few years. Plus you will have more size options to best fit your needs. You might also check out the Volkl Bridge it's probably the best all-mountain ski available.

Any chance that Backcountry will start a demo program and mount up the SC 108 in a 185 as the inaugural demo ski? I'd love to try it before I buy it. Thanks.

I am assuming this is your powder ski. You are going to want a burly ski at your size - something in the Dynastar, Blizzard or Volkl line might be better. Dynastar Legend Pro or Pro Plus, Blizzard Titan IQ or a Volkl Katana or Kuro would all be great choices. The Kuro is the most powder specialized ski - the Pros and Katana would be more versatile. While the Rossi is a nice ski, the guys I know your size generally overpower Rossis and Salomons.
