Rossignol Bandit B3 Alpine Ski - 2006

The Rossignol Bandit B3 Alpine Ski is an all-mountain charger that feasts on everything from crud and chowder to fresh snow, and it skis hardpack with ferocious authority. If you ski everywhere, through any snow condition, and demand solid performance, the B3's your ski. Rossignol's Shark Nose technology places an aluminum insert at the tip of the ski, which increases torsional rigidity—meaning the B3 feels more stable at higher speeds. The Shark Nose also lets the B3 cruise through poor snow conditions without deflection. You get a smooth ride, even when the snow's less than ideal.

Bottom Line: The B3 smooths the way through chop and crud.

B3 is Very Good in The Pow

By:
September 25, 2006

I tried the B2 and B3 on a demo day that had deep Sierra heavy powder. Both skis handled the powder well, though the B2's made me work harder. The B3's easier turns in the powder means I can do more runs before wearing out. The B2's were better on the bumped up runs - both were fine on smooth cruisers. The B3 was a big improvement in absorbing bumps over my old powder skis, the K2 Big Kahunas. I bought the B3's and skied many days on them last year.

Rossi 2005-06 B3

Just finished hammering Keystone. Conditions: Soft 2 day old dump. The B3's are great all mountain skis which can handle everything, from corduroy to deep pow in the South Pole. They blast through crud, are very forgiving in the bumps (not at all hooky) and have great float. I am making big gains from the old style all mountains.

Ski

What else can you say about this ski? This is one of the best all mountain ski's out there. It floats in the Alta pow and eats the crud. I love this ski and would recommend it to anyone.

Suit Me!!

By:
April 9, 2007

Before I purchased these ski's I demo'd a number of other ski's but these if you choose the right length suit me for all conditions - powder or hard packed. I choose a 160cms length which is a wee bit short but keeps me afloat in the powder but still give me quick edge to edge turns on the trails. Also tried them on ice and although not perfect coped surprisingly well. My advice is to try various lengths of this ski to see which best suits you. I struggled with the longer lengths. In powder I like to ski powder 8's not blasting big GS turns, so I was looking for a quick turning ski. Really love the ski and very glad I chose them.

B3s match the description

"...an all-mountain charger that feasts on everything from crud and chowder to fresh snow, and it skis hardpack with ferocious authority." Demoed in the Sierras - spring conditions. Could blast down the groomers in conditions from firm = ice to soft and hold an edge in all conditions. GS turns. In the afternoon slush/crud stable on the steeps & the flats - seemed to carve a little more than float... Ruts, bumbs & ice bocks could be ignored. Found some new thigh muscles on the pack :{
