Rossignol BC3 FW Boot - Women's - 2007

The Rossignol Women's BC3 FW Backcountry Boot are made for skiing half in groomed tracks and half through the woods making your own trail. Rossignol made them burly enough to handle pushing through fresh snow and light enough for long tours over hardpacked snow. The BC3 FW's women's-specific design offers exceptional lateral support and foot wrap that lends solid control of your ski. The nylon lace cover means you don't have to thaw your boots in your car before untying them at the end of a long tour. Rossignol built the BC3 FW Backcountry Boots with a nylon midsole, which offers a compromise between power and comfort. Basically, the boots remain stiff enough to control the skis while you're turning, and soft-flexing enough to be comfortable in varied conditions. The Rossignol BC3 FW Backcountry Boots are only compatible with NNN BC bindings.

Most uncomfortable boot ever

I tried this boot on as the salesman recommended it highly but the ankle support is so stiff and so tight that I couldn't get it off fast enough. It literally was causing pain just standing there. I can't imagine what it would have been like to try to ski with it. Bad design - the idea of firm support is a good one but this needs to go back to the drawing board.

Bummer of a Boot

The fit felt great, but unfortunately I didn't even make it out of the parking lot to try them. The "wrap" is waaay to tight making it almost impossible to zip, hence, the broken zipper. I returned them immediately. So, the only word I have for the BC3 FW Skate Boot is...BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
