Rossignol BC X11 Boot

The Rossignol BC X11 Boot provides the burliest support and power available in a soft backcountry touring boot. Rossignol designed this boot to drive wide, lightweight, metal edged backcountry skis through steep terrain while providing all day comfort. The BC X11 keeps your feet dry with its zippered waterproof cover. The inner locking lace system and dual micro-ratcheting buckles offer bomber support, while the thermoformable liner ensures a precise fit.

Bottom Line: Who says you can’t shred the steeps in a soft boot?

It doesn't get any better than this...

I am so in love with these boots! They offer the best of both worlds for me: stiff enough to carve out nice, precise tele turns, and yet soft enough to give adequate kick and flexibility when spending the day touring through flats or rolling hills. They required absolutely no break-in period, and as someone who has gotten blisters from almost every pair of boots I have ever worn I was surprised to discover that these gave me no troubles at all. These boots are toasty warm even on the coldest days. I can't recommend them enough!

I'm interested in this boot, but need an 11 US. I am not sure if the sizes available are large enough. Thanks. J Hartman

The current sizes are not gonna work for you. Keep checking, and maybe bc.com will get a new shipment of size 46, which would be your size.

Great Boot

Over all very impressed after a few times out with these. Very comfortable from the first use and plenty of room in the toe box!
I had tried the Alpina 2075's and thought they were heavy for the amount of support you got and a lot less comfortable.
A few notes on the BC X11:
-Ratchet straps are very short, don't know why they didn't make them a little longer. This can make it less than easy to catch the first tooth but over all work well.
-I have never worn anything other than a size 46 and I ended up with a 47 on these.

I read the reviews on this boot last year. People complained that the zipper ripped out. Did Rossignol fix this problem?

I bought a pair of these from Berg's in Eugene a few weeks ago.I asked the salesman if they had any problems with the strap buckles and he said he hadn't heard of any - then he told me that early models of this boot had zipper problems. And that the company had improved the design.I was impressed that he volunteered the information and I hope he is correct about Rossignol improving the zipper.I love these boots! Most comfort and most control I've ever had in a XCD boot.Previous best was Asolo Extremes - which I liked but the X 11 is so much better.Very flexible for touring and walking - but suprising amounts of turning ability. They feel really light when I'm wearing them.I love 'em!
