Rossignol Axial 2 140 TI Pro - 2007

Rossignol perfected the Axial 2 140 Ti Pro Alpine Ski Binding's technology on the World Cup race circuit, and now Rossignol has implemented it's race construction for serious freeriders and carvers. The redesigned heel piece is 40% stiffer than Rossi's old design—this translates into less power loss and more responsive skis. The heel piece still has more elastic travel than almost any other binding on the market, which means you have more time to recover from a fall before the binding ejects. The Axial 2 140 Ti Pro has a DIN rating of 14, controlled with titanium springs to cut weight. The wide brakes fit up to an 80mm waist on any ski.

Great Binding, Solid, NOT Bombproof

I have used the Axial2 Free ti 14 for 3 years without any problems. This rossi binding clips and holds great, really allows me to ski better ...hands down. However, I'm prone to breaking binding brakes and these snapped pretty easily. If you break bindings go with the Free or the PX 15. Otherwise this binding still kills it over all bindings in the market at this price.

These are great bindings for almost anyone. They are lighter weight than the more burly rossignol/look bindings, but they aren't so watered down that you don't get a great binding. These (and the scratch version of this binding) are great for park skiers, all mountain skiers, and even freeriders. If you feel you need a more burly binding, then step it up to the 150 or the 180 (which will be heavier since it has more metal in it), but for most expert skiers the Axial 2 140 binding is perfect.

i'd go with the rossi sas 150 at least, maybe even the look 200 if you weigh 180

I would recomend the these because there the same thing as the scratch 140 ( you can take the lifter plate off). Or the Look by dynastar PX 15 they look the same but there like the Axial 2 150 but the PX 15 is the same they come with a 75mm brake so you'll need a new one for these you're local ski shop should have them.

Only binding I will use

The Rossignol Axial ski binding is the only one I will use. It locks me into the ski and I never have to worry about popping out inadvertently. The axial only releases when it has to and that is what I want from a ski binding. Other than that I feel as though I get great edge response and awesome power transmission. Highly recommended!

Great binding, got the bigger brakes for my pontoons and love how they click in and how lightweight this binding is. Definitely will buy these for my next pair of skis.
