Ride Machete Snowboard

Ride decided its Lowrize Rocker Technology needed a flagship and created the brand-new Machete Snowboard so you could slash the powder with less concern about catching an edge and more concern for dialing in that switch 360. Combine that rockertech with Ride’s deep arsenal of snow-taming tricks and some sweet graphics by Morning Breath and you get the hottest thing since your new iPhone touch.

  • LowRize Rocker has curves in all the right places to provide a smooth, hook-free ride
  • Cleave Edge is a full-wrap steel edge for you to detune to your blunt desires
  • New Performance Tuned Core combines aspen and bamboo for lightweight power
  • 85A Slimewalls suck up the impacts to keep you from crying about your shins
  • We have no control over which color base you receive. It's up to Lady Luck—good thing she’s a benevolent wench

Bottom Line: Slash a line through the trees into your favorite park with your new Machete.

Noob advice needed. Just started last year. This will be my first board. Wanna get a great one and everyone says this is it. Question is I weigh 172lbs and pretty proportional. Should I go 158 for all around or would I be better of as a new boarder with a shorter one?

Go with the 158cm. It will be great for you to learn on as well as last you a few years down the road. Order it up.

Hands down my favorite board I have ever rode. i got about 20 days on this board and absolutely love it. Anyone can ride it. I have been riding for 22 years and I love this board. My friend riding only a few years rode it and loved it also. Recomend to all of you. The Lowrize rocker is insane with the slimewall combo....

I am 5'6 and 155 lbs. What size should I get. I know it says to down size with the rocker boards. Just not sure how much. This is my second year so im pretty green, and was on a 148 last season.

furfinley hes talkin bout his previous board was a 148.

but yoo man it really depends on what your doing. those other guys are right, sure a 148s small for backcountry n shit. but if your hittin park then it would be sick for jibs n rails...

im about your exact height and weight

id get the 52. since its rockered its already gonna float better in pow..so you can downsize a bit...if you mainly do freestyle shit id say the 52. the smaller boards gonna be better to do tricks and airs n shit..plus the boards a jibby board with mid flex so itl be dope on rails.

but say if your riding only pow and just want a all mountain then id go 55. then again this boards deff a park board....i guess it all depends what typa ridin you do.

Also depends on where you live and what kind of mountains you will be riding. 152-156 would be perfect...52 if you live somewhere in So cal and 155 if you live in UT or CO.

If you want this exact board, they obviously don't have a 148. I would get the 152 or 155 if I were you. A 148 is getting a little on the short side for your weight. Considering you're just going into your second year I would go with something from a 152-156. This will be short enough to control and maneuver but you won't held up because you're board is too short.
