The Reef Women’s Ginger Sandal’s simple, spicy-sweet design easily pairs with a variety of outfits, and its superlight, compact size makes it highly packable when you head to faraway places. The woven polyester strap won’t chafe your feet, so you needn’t fuss with that icky break-in period that accompanies most new sandals. Cushy-soft triple-density EVA soles mold to your feet and make a walk all the way across town feel more like a walk in the park.
Bottom Line: For those who like their sandals straight-up.
Reefs rock, I have three pairs (different styles). They are just as cheap as the pairs at Old Navy, but so much more sturdy and supportive. They run small, so get one size bigger than your normal shoe size (like all the other reviews say). The bottoms are a little slippery at first, so be careful on slick surfaces until you break them in. Super comfortable!
Ordered them for my kids great price and got here almost over night was very pleased with service- both on the phone and in the delivery - flip flops are light wieht and very comfortable- 15 and 13 year old girls love them and they go with everything
I've had my pair of these since 2005 and they are still going strong. I've showered in them in Asia, worn them to a wedding and rode my bike all over while wearing them (they are not the best for this, but my point is that they handle this type of wear and tear). They are cute, comfortable (for flip flops), versatile and just wonderful. Best $20 you'll ever spend on flip flops. Get them!
I just bought my second pair after wearing my first pair for 3 long summers and an international excursion. The cotton bands don't rub, the cushioning is perfect for high arches, and they look very dainty. I'm a lifetime fan!
I took a chance on buying these sandals on the web. I ordered one size larger and they are a perfect fit. They dry quickly and molded to my feet in less than a week. They are lightweight so my feet don't feel heavy. This is a very nice sandal for a great price.
Reef makes my absolute favorite flip-flops. The Ginger is cute and comfortable, with arch support, effective traction, and a cushiony sole. It also does not disintegrate when wet. The only thing I would change about these flip-flops is to make them last longer - the soles wear thin after constant use for a few months.
I ordered these flip flops b/c I had tried on a friend's Reefs and they were the only flip-flops that didn't give me a blister between my toes. This particular style, though, wasn't the same as hers so I returned them and will look for the more comfortable toe strap on another style. They were so cute, I hated sending them back.
This is my third or fourth pair of the gingers. I wear them until I have compacted the rubber so much that they're hard (5 years or so). They have an arch support, they are gushy soft for at least 3 years, and the low profile strap looks really cute with anything. I love them, and I will continue to buy them.
I spied a friend wearing these cool sandals and after chasing them down in brick stores, landed on this site where there is better selection. Earlier review was right; they run small, so finding a size 11 here was blessed. Super comfy and light with support. The black sole stays clean looking. A woman at the gym had a pair several years old and the blue strap faded but is still good looking. The strap is soft, so it tends to fold over on itself a bit. Real simple, mag rates them highly too.
I had forgotten how much I love Reef sandals. Since my first pair 7 years ago (which I only retired recently) I have thought that they were fantastic. I bought them and wear them whenever possible. Great quality and value, and I have recommended them to others who went out and bought the same sandals! You have to love the free shipping and no tax. :)
I've been wearing $2.50 Old Navy flip flops since forever. Reefs are better! I feel like they run a little small, and strangely they squeaked when I walked for the first 2 weeks I wore them. But they're comfy, didn't give me blisters like a lot of new flip flops do, and they broke in really quickly.
I bought the pink and black Reef Ginger Sandals a few months ago and I wear them with everything. It took about a week to break them in (the soles have a very high arch, or my feet are flat, so it took me some time to get used to), but ever since then I've worn them constantly. The soles are really soft and mold to your feet quickly without compromising the durability of the sandal. My only problem is the shape of the toe area, which kind of makes you move your big toe inward toward the thong strap (from taking yoga i've learned that it's better for your posture and comfort for the big toe to be slightly farther from the second toe).
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE these Reef sandals!! I have another pair of Reefs, but I love this style the most. My foot has an arch so the sole fits my feet perfectly. They are so comfortable!! My other pairs have already been through a lot i.e. a whole 14 hours at Disneyland. They are so durable and SUPER comfortable!! The first few days kind of hurt my feet but once I broke them in, my feet were in heaven.
Very basic sandal. I thought the nylon material strap would be a little stiffer, but not at all. It just rests on the sandal if your foot isn't in there. Its an extrememly basic sandal and does its purpose, but just a little different than I expected.
These are my favorite sandals, been wearing them for years! Love to be able to get them wet/dirty, toss them in the washing machine and dry them in the shade or sun. The squishy soles are super comfortable and last a very long time. I prefer these thinner soles versus the platform style, much more comfortable and easier to trek on uneven surfaces. The only drawback to these sandals is that the footbed is slippery when wet (not the bottom tread) and makes it harder to walk up hills when wet (like after an ocean swim). Even still, I love these sandals and have them in many colors :-)
I bought a few pairs of these and they are great! Very comfortable and awesome support. I was told they run a little small so I ordered a size up and they fit perfect! Great purchase! Way cheaper here than elsewhere!
I had tried a pair of my friend's Ginger sandal and liked it so much that I went and bought a pair of my own in all black! I will say that the arch support is great for people who need it, unfortunately I'm a little flat footed, so it took a little getting used to, but overall cute flip flop and I can't wait to wear it for the summer!
These sandals are amazing! I usually wear a 9.5, and a 10 fit perfectly. They have excellent arch support and are very comfortable when walking long distances.
It's like this; I packed 8 pairs of shoes and sandals for 4 days in New Orleans (you know how some women are.) Day One - the flip flops feel great, even though I didn't get to break them in, because it's still cold at home in Pennsylvania. Day Two - I think I'll wear the flip flops, theyre so comfortable! Day Three - I walked 20 miles the first 2 days and no sore feet - I think I'll wear the flip flops again. Out to dinner Hmmm, maybe I better dress up for my last evening in New Orleans and wear high heels to parade down Bourbon St. Ouch, Ouch, Ouch - what a mistake. Day Four - still cold in Pennsylvania but I'm wearing the flip flops to go home!
I don't like these flip flops as much as my Reef Sandy flip flops. I found these narrower than I would like and not as cushiony. I also prefer the wider straps on the Reef Sandy over the narrow straps on these.
