What is the difference between the Redfeather Hike and Explore snowshoe? I plan to use them both on and off trail. At 6'3" I assume I need 36" long shoes.

I can tell you the poles that come with the Hike 36" are super long and will definately be good for your height.

I just bought these for my hubby to rock on the trails. I've heard nothing but good things about the brand and when they arrived, the entire set-up was very nice. The poles will be long enough for him and they are super sturdy (as in made it to AK in a checked bag sturdy). Waiting to see if they're good in packed and fresh powder, it's likely I'll order a set for myself...

Forget them all and go for MSRRedfeather has a great reputation, the Hiker Series is their entry level model with a great price and will certainly do the trick if you want to get out have fun and kick some snow. If you spend a fraction more you’ll see significant improvements in the binding system and lighter frames as with the MSR recommend above. But it’s up to you to determine how to spend your hard earned bucks.
