Oversized aluminum tubing and a binding that fits nearly any type of footwear makes the Redfeather Guide Series Snowshoe ready for deep pow days in the backcountry. The wide tubing provides flotation, and the aggressive, stainless-steel crampon digs in on your descents. The Pilot II binding's injection-molded frame gives your foot lateral support, and toe and heel straps secure your boot. Thanks to a pivot-rod hinge, the back of the Guide Series Snowshoe stays in the snow as you step, creating more float and allowing the tips to stay up in fluffy snow.

Is this snowshoe compatible with downhill ski boots?

You might be able to strap them on, but they're going to be incredibly stiff and awkward to use. They're intended to be used with some kind of winter walking-around boot.
