The Princeton Tec Fuel Headlamp illuminates your world with three bright LEDs and weighs a mere 78 grams (including batteries). Plus, this headlamp's sleek profile eliminates that there's-a-huge-lamp-on-my-forehead feeling. The Fuel Headlamp's bracket makes it easy to direct your light up or down, while a large switch changes the light settings. A wide beam simulates daylight conditions and enhances your peripheral vision, while the multiple-beam settings adjust brightness and/or beam width for greater distance viewing or battery conservation. Princeton Tec gave the Fuel Headlamp an easy-access battery door for quick AAA battery replacements.
Bottom Line: Brighten your night without weighing down your noggin.
I was quite suprized when I ficked this lamp on for the first time. I was temporarly blinded for at least a minute from looking strait at it when it came on. Then it proceeded to out shine my more expensive Mammot, Petzl and BD lamps. My only suggestion would be to get the new modle, they added a 4th LED. No weight gain, loses 14 hours burn time (at low) but jumps from 15 Lumens to a listed 43 Lumens, and no price hike. :D
I am quite impressed with this headlamp. It has hi, mid, lo and a blinking mode. And let em tell you that the Hi setting is incredibly bright! I use to Lo when I am working on hand held projects and it works extremely well. I'm thinking about getting another one for the car. Highly recommended.
Fishing at night is a breeze with this headlamp, no more holding a flashlight with my mouth & tying on snapswivels. I can also use it as a primary or backup light for caving.
I use this for all kinds of tasks around the house and outside. It's easy to store and light on the head. Can't beat its versatility at this price point.
i love this headlamp! small; packs easy in your pocket, pack,or anywhere you need to stuff it. it is light so you can go ultra if need be and bright when you need to rifle through your gear for something or run to the privy in the middle of the night. i have many(6) lamps and this is the one i go to when i am out on the trail. it is bright enough to use for running, hiking, camping, and walking the dog. the best lamp in the price range and better than some that are much more expensive. bang for your buck, this thing rocks!
Small, easy to use, lightweight, reliable. These are just a few words to describe it. I've used other headlamps, but I always keep coming back to this one. Provides excellent light and offers practical settings with easy button accessibility. Excellent choice, especially for the price.
This is a really good lightweight headlamp. It puts out a great beam and has a good array of settings. Battery life is amazing. The only complaint is it takes two hands to adjust the angle of the beam, but that's pretty minor.
I got this headlight and a more expensive one for x-mas. This one will be the one I go to more often. It may not be as bright, but it is smaller and a tad lighter.
I really don't understand why anyone would buy a headlamp other than this one. It is so light I forget it is on my head (camping this winter I pulled off my beanie and for a moment I couldn't figure out why it got dark until I remembered I had the headlamp on over my beanie). It is very easy to use (4 light modes just by pressing 1 button) and it is only $25! IMO the highbeam is so bright that I don't understand why a person would need anything brighter? I love it.
This is a great head lamp. I would put this up against other lamps that cost twice as much. It was much lighter than my other lamp and had more settings as well. If you are looking for something light and that doesn't break the bank go with this guy.
Got this one after i decided i really needed a headlamp for backpacking. Compared it to several other headlamps and found this one is equal in quality to the more expensive lamps. I love the hi/lo/blinking affect, and found it with a very attractive pink headband. Works just as great in the snow as it does in good weather, would definitely recommend it!
This thing blows away the $30 competition. Brighter, longer lasting and more durable than the black diamond or peztel headlamps. Buy it...best headlamp under $40 that you will find.
I use this light when I need to do some work on my motorcycle on the side of the road at night. And guess what she never lets me down. Even used it as my tail light on an 8 hour stretch and didn't get pulled over. The battery life is good and it is bright.
I primarily use this light for nightime trailrunning. Its affordable, lightweight, and super-bright. I usually use the lowest light setting which is still adequate for nighttime running and the batteries seem to last forever.
I haven't had it for very long and have only used it a handful of times and I haven't found anything yet that I dont like about it. The light is very bright and easy to use. I am glad I didn't get anything more expensive. I would definitely recommend it to a friend. The only reason it gets 4 stars is because I haven't had other headlamps to compare it with.
I live in the Dominican Republic and this thing is a great buy if you don't have the money to buy a better one. The lights go out all the time there, so the fact that it has a pretty good battery life comes in handy.
