Primus MultiFuel EX Stove w/ ErgoPump - 2008

I don't know about you, but there's often some spare aviation fuel just lying around my house. Good thing there's the Primus MultiFuel EX Stove—this sturdy stove fires up hot with a bit of airplane fuel (or LP gas, white gas, gasoline, diesel, or kerosene). Primus updated this stove's jets to increase output and maximize efficiency and included a streamlined windscreen so the MultiFuel EX excels in cold, windy conditions—ideal for high alpine terrain. The Primus ErgoPump makes it easy to pressurize and prime this compact backpacking stove. *Fuel bottle not included.

How is the simmer controls for this stove?

Liquid fuel stoves have gotten better @ simmering through the years but they still have a way to go. Lower flame control is still erratic & can burn food if you're not careful. The Primus MF is a hybrid plate burner which is not as simmer friendly as a ported burner e.g., MSR Whisperlite. If simmering is your main priority, consider a canister stove which will also boil water faster.
