Pieps DSP Advanced Avalanche Beacon - 2007
Not only is the Pieps DSP Advanced the first three-antenna digital avalanche beacon that can isolate signals and tell you how many victims there are in a slide; it also has a thermometer, compass, and altimeter built in. Now your navigation tools and your life-saving tool are one in the same. Receiving every signal inside its impressive 60m range, the DSP shows how many burials are within 5m, 20m, and 50m. It automatically shows distance and direction toward the strongest (closest) signal without interference from the others. When the victim is located, a push of a button marks the signal and begins searching for the next victim. Pieps knows that technology advances every year. That's why they made the DSP the first ever upgradeable beacon. When they come up with new software, you can send your DSP beacon to an authorized Pieps Service Center to have it upgraded instead of buying a new one.
Bottom Line: The Pieps DSP Advanced avalanche beacon helps you find your buried ski partner and aids in navigation as well.
