Petzl William Triact Carabiner - 2005
The Petzl William Triact carabiner is an auto-locking version of the popular William Lock Carabiner, and is an ideal auto-locking belay carabiner. It's an excellent belay biner for use with belay/rap devices. Its high volume makes it easy to use when tying a Munter hitch directly from an anchor point—it'll allow several ropes and sling. Its large size and pear shape allows the rope to invert easily when icy or muddy conditions exist. The metallic safety sleeve is easy to grip and operate with gloves on.
Bottom Line: Rely on the William Triact when you need an auto-locking biner.
