Absolutely Perfect!

It took us a while to decide which headlamp we wanted. But after using these little guys we are not at all disappointed. We took a trip to the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica jungle where it gets real dark early and doesn't get light too early. We found our way around the lodge property with out difficultly. My husband especially liked the red light to be able to read in bed and not wake me. We found that we could hike and sit on our jungle porch in the night and look for wildlife! These are a great purchase!!!

What is the advantage of a single LED? Why not 3 LEDs?

A single LED is basically all you need camping or whatever it is you are doing. The one bulb can put out serious light, and can stay on for a long time. That is the main advantages, weight saved, and power conserved with only needed to light one bulb.

Awesome bit of kit - only downside i can foresee as it doesn't appear as water resistance as previous models as no rubber seal but I'm working in a desert and so far have had no problems. Tough little blighter and light options are excellent for my work (white light at night means i get shot at!) Military version/colours Petzl??? Ideal with new ADAPT kit - on my armour or rucksack - hands fee heaven. Thank you Petzl - keep up the evolution.

Amazing Light

I am a Colorado 14'er Peak Bagger and this is perfect for it. If you are looking for a relatively cheap light that provides more than enough visible light, this is the one for you. Very simple light, but bright and perfect!
