Petzl M10 LLF Modular Crampon

Take on the steepest ice and mixed terrain with the modular Petzl M10 Crampons. Set them up with mono or dual front points (both included) to perfectly match your terrain and preferences. Petzl gave these crampons a solid frame design for vibration-free kicks and long secondary points for added stability when frontpointing. The M10 Crampons have half-size length adjustments in the underfoot bar and micro-height adjustments in the heel lever to ensure a secure fit on nearly any boot out there.

Bottom Line: Ice or mixed—the Petzl M10 Crampons do it all.

Will it fit men's US size 13 mountain boots? If not, does

Will it fit men's US size 13 mountain boots? If not, does backcountry.com sell extra long center bars that will fit size 13 boots? Thanks.

From the petzl.com site:

Fits boots sizes 35 to 45 with M linking bar (included)
Optional L linking bar fits boots sizes 40 to 50 (T20850)

So not quite the 13's unless you get the linking bar. I didn't look for it but now you know what to search.

Damn good crampon.

Petzl did a really nice job with these. Replaceable and movable frontpoints make these beasts both long-lasting and versatile. Bolt in both points for alpine routes where you're frontpointing in hard snow/rotten ice, or go to a single off-set point for the waterfall/mixed routes. The step-in system is very secure, never have to worry about your heel breaking loose. And the flexible rubber anti-bot plates are a nice touch - much more durable than the old rigid plastic plates that broke after too much stress on pointy rocks.
