Pearl Izumi Amfib Glove - Men's - 2008

Next time you're aching for a bike ride on a stormy day, pull on the Pearl Izumi Men’s Amfib Glove. Waterproof and well-insulated, this glove's ripstop fabric shell and leather palm offer excellent grip and durability. Reflective piping gives you one extra touch of nighttime visibility. The Amfib Glove performs as naturally as a frog’s skin in a pond.

Bottom Line: What storm?

Best Winter Glove Out There

By:
December 3, 2008

I get really cold hands in the winter. These are so good that my hands stay hot on cold/wet February days on the East Coast. Also, I sometimes commute to work on my motorcycle and I find that these are warmer than my winter motorcycle gloves and stay windproof even when rolling at 70mph. I'm on my third pair and they last about 2 seasons of constant use.

John, these are perfect for snowblowing, shoveling, etc in my experience. I think you'll have a hard time finding a better glove for less than $40 anywhere.

If you don't mind having the most expensive snow blowing gloves in town you won't be unhappy with these gloves. I have a similar Pearl Izumi glove I have used for snow blowing and they were great. These have a leather palm so you won't melt your glove on the exhaust pipe. :-)

Warm but sweaty

These gloves are great at keeping your hands warm when it's below 40 degrees but they do not breath well. It's something I'm willing to sacrifice since my hands are warm but make sure you are inside when you take your gloves off or your hands will freeze.
