Pearl Izumi AmFIB Cycling Tight - Women's - 2007

You could probably pedal across Alaska in the Pearl Izumi Women's AmFIB Tight. Not that you'd want to, but Pearl Izumi's waterproof, windproof AmFIB face fabric would come in handy if it were ever necessary. Unlike most wet-weather cycling gear, the stretchy AmFIB Tight fits close to your body and vents like a champ, thanks to the Thermafleece material on the back of the legs. Flatlock seam stitching smoothes out chafe, and locking 8-inch ankle zips allow easy donning over shoes.

Bottom Line: Staying inside is warm, too…but it sure sucks.

No chamois

By:
August 23, 2008

This is my fault, as it specifies in the specs that there is no chamois, but I failed to read that section and expected to receive tights with a shammy. Anyhow, I have not tried them yet but I did notice that the water resistant fabric is only on the front of the legs. The back of the legs look like they will get pretty drenched in wet conditions. Oh well, if they don't work out I can always return them even after wearing them :o) Rockin' return policy!
