No Room for Junk in the Trunk

I ordered the size I usually wear in Patagonia clothes and these were too tight in the butt. (I don't have an especially large one.) I think if I sized up they would be overly roomy in the waist and thigh. Too bad -- otherwise they are very cute, a good material, and the perfect just-below-the-knee length.

Do these run big or small? I'm a size six, but have found that some capris (mountain hardware for example) run small. Is this the case with Patagonia, too?

I love my Patagonia Super Cali Shorts! They look great, dry fast, and have adjustable lengths. I would wear them everyday if I didn't have to wash them. My only complaint is that they are a little tight across the butt. I had to go up a size.
