Patagonia Stretch Ascent Jacket - Women's - 2009

The Patagonia Women’s Stretch Ascent Jacket gives you the ideal blend of weather protection and lightweight stretch you need for difficult alpine climbs and gymnastic mixed pitches. The H2No waterproof breathable barrier seals out wetness on stormy approaches, while the recycled stretch polyester shell gives you unrestricted range of motion. The helmet-compatible hood cinches down when spindrift blows down the mountain, and an internal pocket holds your energy gels and bars. After you’ve put the Stretch Ascent through the ringer, send it back to Patagonia for recycling through the Common Threads Program.

Bottom Line: Lightweight stretch and storm protection, now fully recyclable.

Martha, the Stretch Ascent does not have a fleece lining inside. It's a very warm jacket though for just being a shell.

I spent months looking for the perfect rain jacket. The Patagonia Stretch Ascent is it! I live in southeast Alaska where is rains frequently. I wanted something that I could wear year round. I usually wear a medium but bought a large so I can layer. The jacket fits great, not sloppy looking with the larger size. The pit zips are a must if you hike. So many rain jackets now are short and fit tight on the hips, which I personally think is uncomfortable. This one is not tight on the hips but slightly tapered for a nice feminine look. I bought the black color. Backcountry.com had the best price on this jacket and my order arrived in just a couple days.
