Put your little bean into the cozy, weather-resistant Patagonia Reversible Puffball Jacket and head outside on a cold November day to play in the leaves. This warm wonder wraps babies in high-loft insulation and features a Deluge DWR finish. The snag-resistant jacket has a zipper garage to protect your tyke's chin from harm and a large hood and long sleeves for room to grow (torso runs short, so purchase accordingly). Reverse this puffy Patagonia jacket to match your babe's outfit or hide spilled food. The wind-resistant Puffball has a contoured hood to keep small noggins toasty and spandex binding on wrists and waist to ensure a comfortable feel.
Bottom Line: Be environmentally responsible and keep your little peanut toasty in bad weather with the insulated Patagonia Puffball Jacket, made from recycled polyester.
Second time buying this jacket - have the pants as well and just love the set. Its very warm yet not bulky - and having the hood is wonderful. We live in the Colorado foothills so this is great for cold, snow and wind. Can wear a hat underneath on very cold days and a sweater as well. Will keep buying these until my son outgrows the sizes that Patagonia offers.
Our little girl (22m) has been wearing this jacket every day since it arrived 3 weeks ago. Loft and warmth like down, but in a kid-friendly washable synthetic. Plus its fashionable. Love this product!
Depends on what you have underneath. We had our son out in his last week at 22 degrees, and he was fine, but he had on Capilene 3 base layer and the coveralls that go w/this jacket. It seems very lightweight, but I think the fill on it is pretty effective. It's not a big bulky fit.
We like this jacket very much. Excellent quality, and it's nice that it's reversible. Some of Patagonia's kids clothing fits a little large (like the swim trunks and Capilene base layer), but this is true to size.
We have had the jacket for a month and are very pleased. I love that it is thin enough that our daughter can safely wear it in her carseat. I was worried that it would not be warm enough but it has been great. The quality is excellent and I know this jacket will last for more than just one child. The hood is very large but it works well with a thin hat underneath. I would definitely purchase again.
We bought this for our nine month old. Wanted a jacket that would be very warm (we live in upstate NY), but one that wouldn't be too bulky so he could fit into his car seat. I'm happy to say that this jacket has worked very well for us. Winter came early, so its already been put to the test. When we first pulled it out of the packaging we thought it wouldn't be warm enough, but we were wrong. It is very warm. We get lots of comments on how attractive it is as well. Worth the money!
yes, no bulk and very warm - we ended up loving the color we got (deep pink and light pink) but were disappointed that all our first choice colors were already sold out by the time we got around to thinking winter coats. we use this for a 3 season shell/wind-breaker and it is about 30 degrees cold so far this winter in NYC. when it was about 40 degrees we used it alone. warning is that the deep pink does bleed a bit in the wash the first time you wash it.
every mom i know has commented on the same "con": the hood was made about 30% too big so tends to flap/fall off. fortunately, i love the columbia grandma grabber hood (& the flip-over hand mitts) which comes with the fleece underlying jacket i use under this for cold days on the playground. the fleece also doesn't block wind, so the combination with the puff-ball is terrific.
My 2 year old throws a fit when her jacket is bulky, so I bought this to help with this problem, and it definately helps!! No bulk...at all! It is amazing how warm this thin little jacket is. My 5 year old has the puff rider jacket, which is heavier duty, and neither complain of being cold. I wear the hooded micro puff jacket, which is as thin as this reversible one, and it is amazing!! definate thumbs up!!
I have a two 1/2 year old son I have bought this jacket when he was 6 mo. and 12 mo. now I have to get the same one this year because it is such a great jacket. We live in Utah and we enjoy many outdoor adventures. This jacket came in handy for many winter adventures with our son. It kept him warm while enjoying outdoor adventures in the snow. This jacket is a great hand-me-down jacket too because it is such great quality. I have a little 6 mo. old girl and she is going to wear all of her bro's old patagonia jackets. (I can't justify buying the same jacket in pink.)
I bought this jacket for my niece that lives on the east coast, where it can get pretty darn cold in the winter. She wore it all winter! She loves the jacket so much, she asks her parents if she can wear it around the house. This jacket also was used all spring and fall. They love that it can be reversed for a different look, though she likes the pink side out most of the time. This is super warm and unbelievably cute!
