Patagonia Neck Gaiter

Slip on the fleece Patagonia Neck Gaiter to keep the cold, frosty weather off your neck while you enjoy another epic day in the snow-covered mountains. Its lightweight polyester microfleece material dries quickly and provides a soft, next-to-skin feel in chilly temperatures. Pull the Patagonia Neck Gaiter up to cover your face in howling wind, or wear it low on nicer days.

Bottom Line: Don't neglect your neck when you head into the mountains. Keep it toasty warm with the Patagonia Neck Gaiter.

Keep your neck and face warm

By:

I used this recently on winter ascents of some of the Adirondack High Peaks. On a windswept ridgeline with zero tree cover, this kept my face from freezing. Use on your neck only, or pull over your mouth and nose when you really need more coverage.

Insulate your neck!

This fleece gaiter from Patagonia is part of my essential cold weather gear. No, it does not block the wind like some other higher priced gaiters, but it does keep you toasty. I wear it like an extension of my Synchilla fleece and then zip a shell over it all for protection from the wind and other elements. So much better than a scarf and with that Patagonia quality!

Hi I'm from Dunedin in NZ
do you think a neck gaiter would be better/useful than a scarf during the winter time?

I think it depends on what you're using it for. If you're thinking something technical like skiing or mountaineering, then the neck gaiter probably serve you better - it's less bulky and probably weighs less. For more casual situation, a scarf probably looks better and works about the same.
