Patagonia Merino 3 Pant - Women's - 2009

Patagonia used extra fine-gauge Merino wool fibers to craft the Women's Merino 3 Pant. This flowy-fitting pant keeps the chill off your skin and dries as quickly as you perspire. Wear it to yoga, on a cool-air hike, or layered under snow pants. A notched front waistband flatters your tummy and a back yoke keeps the rear view just as nice.

Bottom Line: Wool. Because nobody likes a chill.

Rebecca, the Merino 3 pants are machine washable with cold water, and lay them flat to dry.

Impressed

I'm a huge icebreaker fan, but have had trouble finding a pair of lightweight merino pants that I like. Figured I'd give Patagonia's merino a chance, and boy am I impressed. The merino for this pant is very soft, like buttery cotton-jersey soft -- it's a different knit from icebreaker. There is no waist elastic in the pant -- the fabric itself is stretchy enough -- so the pant does not become uncomfortable at the waist area. The fabric drapes very well and looks very nice. No pockets though :-( I'm 5'4", 39" hip. Got a medium, which fit great except it was TOO LONG. I had to sew the pant legs up a little. I'd say this pant in M is closer to 32"-33" inseam. I wear this for yoga, morning jogs, and lounging around the house since they're so comfy. Would be a 5-star if they offered it in short and added pockets.

What is the inseam on a size M?

I was hoping for and actual measurement. 31-32" is the range Patagonia gives on their website, but and inch makes a huge difference in length to someone who is tall....
