Patagonia Footwear Finn Approach Shoe - Women's

Patagonia gave the Women's Finn Approach Shoe the basic structure of a light hiker, then incorporated recycled materials and added edging and smearing zones for climbing power. Lightweight mesh uppers allow your feet to breathe on those sweaty summer approaches, and the 70% recycled cork footbeds with active carbon wick moisture and prevent the growth of bacteria. Board lasted with steel shanks, these sporty shoes provide anatomic flex and stable support on rocky and varied terrain.

Bottom Line: A sturdy hiker that doesn't mind if you give some lovin' to cracks and crimpers.

I bought these shoes the day before I left for an 8 week adventure in Ireland. I wore them EVERY DAY. They were amazing on any surface (including the wet and crowded streets of Dublin). Kept my feet secure, warm, and dry. Highly recommended!

What is the best approach shoe for a woman with a slightly wider foot? I carry a 40-60 pack and use them for both full-pack canyoneering and day-pack canyoneering.

And she's pretty finicky. Looks to be a tough sole, I bought them a bit tight as a shoe I hoped would be a good for scrambling - she had questions but broke them in for a day or two because they were so cute. Now she loves them and they're holding up real well.
