Patagonia Down Patrol Jacket - Men's - 2006

Skiing at Lake Louise in January? Whistler in February? Better take the ultra-warm Patagonia Men's Down Patrol Jacket to keep you toasty on the cold days. Freezing temperatures don't pose a problem when you bundle up in this Patagonia jacket's 650-fill down insulation. The Down Patrol Jacket's water-resistant shell fights off splashes of powder when you drop into a steep bowl, and the powder skirt keeps the snow out if you crash. Grab this puffy jacket, and enjoy the snow no matter how cold the mountain gets.

Compare this to Cloudveil's jacket of the same name and it's no contest. In every way - the shell fabric, the sewing, the down, the cuffs and collar -Patagonia's quality shows. The Cloudveil Down Patrol is just a wannabe - this one really can be worn at Lake Louise in January, and for years and years.

Down Patrol Jacket- Patagonia

I was not impressed by the construction of this garment- nothing actually broke down- I didn't wear it outside, but compared to its Cloudveil namesake, it does not appear as well thought out and constructed.
