Patagonia Capilene LW Boxer Brief - Men's - 2005

Patagonia reduces relative humidity with the Men's Capilene LW Boxer Brief. Fast-acting evaporative cooling moves moisture and heat away from you skin so you don't overheat. Trail running, climbing and backcountry skiing all become more comfortable in these boxers. Capilene's smooth surface layers without bunching or riding up and works wonders under hiking shorts or suit pants.

Bottom Line: Control your climate.

Hmmmm Silky Smooth

By:
February 22, 2008

Not as expensive as my Calvin Kleins and way more comfortable. I ordered the large and they seem a little too big for me, so I've ordered a medium just to compare. No chafing and the waistband is super smooth too. It almost feels like your not wearing anything.

versatile

Forgive me if this sounds s bit crude, but we are talking about underwear here. Anyway these are a great first layer. I use them for just about every physical activity I do. Supportive but feel roomier than briefs. If I had to make a complaint though, I would say that I wished the rear seam did not go straight up the backside. It can get a bit of a wedgie feeling, but not uncomfortably so.

The perfect boxers!

Order these capilene boxers today. Not only will they keep you dry, they provide the right amount of support without being too binding.

Lightweight and dry

By:
December 3, 2003

I have tried several other athletic boxer briefs that promised no chafing and to keep you dry. This is the first pair that kept me dry even after a full day of backpacking. I highly recommend these boxer briefs.

These boxer briefs are the best! I use them on all my outings: summer, spring, winter, fall! No chaffing and quick drying. Very comfortable and the ladies dig'em.

Grunge Free

By:

They're expensive, but these briefs are as soft as cotton - not the slick polyester feeling I find associated with spandex based clothing like Under Armour. Excellent wicking and fast drying make these briefs an excellent choice for the back country.

Comfortable

By:
April 4, 2006

I may have to convert my entire underwear drawer over to these. They fit well, are very comfortable and, like all things Capilene, kept me nice and dry during a recent ski trip. My wife seemed to like them as well...the primary reason I recommend them!

Best undies ever

By:
October 3, 2005

I read an earlier review that these fit like a girdle, but I strongly disagree. These are the most comfortable pair of boxers I have ever worn. They are extremely soft and have no seams. That means nothing sticking out when it's not wanted.

Capilene LW Boxer Brief - Men's

By:
September 5, 2005

I bought a pair of these and the regular Capilene Boxer Briefs. I sent the LW pair back because I liked the fit of the regular better. I bought a size smaller than I usually wear and everything is comfortably snug.

Best pair of boxers I've owned, and well worth the cost. Works well with a suit or out on a run.

16 days of abuse in Patagonia

By:
February 13, 2006

Trekking for 16 days in southern Chile and Argentina and I only took one pair of Ex Officio boxers and one pair of these Patagonia boxer briefs. Both performed superbly, and I could scarcely recommend one over the other. The Patagonias fit just slightly more snug. Personally, I liked the slightly more supportive fit, but you cannot go wrong with either of them.

Good stuff

Like the others, all apologies in advance. These are quite light and breathable, which to my mind makes them more desirable for hiking and trail running. They neatly eliminate chafing, and keep things supported nicely. I also noticed the back seam and its wedgie inducing design. Apart from that though, these are great technical underwear for summer.
