Stay cool while cross country skiing in the Patagonia Women's Capilene 3 Zip-Neck, and then stay warm while waiting for your friends to catch up. The dense honeycomb Capilene 3 fabric retains heat while you sit still, and it dumps heat when you work hard. Patagonia gave the Capilene 3 Zip-Neck a soft, brushed finish and flatlock seams for comfort, compressibility, and easy layering. Fine-seam construction and a contoured fit make this thermal ideal for layering. Patagonia's Gladiodor natural odor control keeps you smelling fresh even during a week in the backcountry.
Bottom Line: Go with the Patagonia Capilene 3 Zip-Neck when you know you'll be working hard in cold weather.
i needed to get a good base layer for hiking/snow camping. admittedly, i haven't been camping in it yet, but i can already tell that this is what i was looking for. i've practically lived in it since i bought it a few days ago and love it. it's super comfy, doesn't seem to stretch out, and keeps me warm. also, i like the sleeves because they perfect: a little on the long side, but with cuffs small enough so that they don't droop over my hands. i'm 5'2" and 120lbs and the small fits me perfect.
About the only way to do that is if the next order comes in and they're still offered on sale. The other thing you could do is use a discount code either one that's available now or something that should be available soon.
I use this for EVERYTHING. It is wonderfully versatile. The fit is perfect (just a touch snug), and the sleeve-length just right. Wicks well, looks good, keeps me warm when I need to be warm, and cools when I need to be cool. It doesn't get any better.
Found this to be comfortable, not itchy or too tight. I use it for layering on the colder days and even colder mornings as I'm on the road before the sun is up. I like the extra material used to cover up the zipper so it's not against the skin. Worn under a t-shirt, I like that the high collar offers protection for my neck and when I'm comfortably warm then I can unzip the shirt as needed.
I can't tell you exactly but I am 6'0" and wear a size medium. I have a hard time finding shirts that have long enough sleeves and torsos without being too wide. This shirt is awesome! It is long enough in the sleeves (they go up to my thumbs!) and torso while maintaining a very flattering fit.
I love this shirt. I have three of them and always use them as baselayers for all sorts of conditions. they are warm and I love the material-very comfy. The high neck is great and the fit is not too tight but not too loose. I get them in large (for length) and I am 5'10" 140lbs.
I love this shirt. I run hot, so I often wear it alone in cool weather, but if it's really cold out, this is a great base layer. I'm 6'0 with a long torso, and find this shirt fits very well: sleeves and hem are long enough, cut is flattering.
This base layer fits well. The sleeves and torso are long enough, which is tough to find in smaller-sized base layer. The inside pattern of the fabric wicks very well. The zip-neck gives you some climate control. Great base layer that looks good enough to wear with jeans to the bar.
This is a nice lighter weight layer. I was disappointed in the color. I thought that the Aubergine/Velvet Brown color would be a two tone coloring with a plum and brown combo, but it is just a brown color.
I wear this top for almost everything, backcountry skiing, resort skiing, running and grocery shopping. Love the fit, it's long enough to even wear with low rise jeans. It would be nice to have more colors to choose from though.
I have one of these and I love it! I have a long torso and it covers my belly completely. It feels great and fits nice and trim. I have an older one that still gets smelly but apparently now they are made with an anti-stink technology worked right into the fabric. I live in this in the winter.
From an admitted Patagonia devotee, this is exactly why I love that company! I'm using it over my sport tops for yoga, and think it looks better than some regular knit tops. Nicely fitted, but not too snug. DItto to all the other positive comments.
This top fits true to size. The torso is fitted (but not tight), the length prevents any gaps in my layers, the cut prevents any part from riding up, and the arms allow excellent range of motion. This is not the warmest top I've ever had, but perfect for layering, and once i've worked up some heat, breathes very well. Probably in the spring and fall, I will be able to wear it alone. I am 5' 2", about 125 and the size small works great. Will be buying more!
