The seamless design of the Patagonia Women's Active Briefs makes them ultra comfortable for anything from skiing to hiking to climbing. Patagonia's nylon and spandex blend material wicks moisture and allows the Active Briefs to dry quickly when you need top performance for technical pursuits.
Bottom Line: Start your layering right with the Patagonia Active Briefs.
Bought 2 pairs for 10-day backpacking trips to Alaska. Wear a pair and wash out the dirty one by the river at the end of the day. They dry in a flash, even in 30 degree overcast weather. They fit comfortably and never ride up.
I forgot my beanie on a recent high altitude climb. My girlfriend suggested me wearing these to keep my head warm. They looked a little ridiculous but did work. No joke dudes & dudettes. Multi-utilitarian clothing at it's best.
I wear them almost every day. Need I say more? I am 5'6", 120 lbs...size small is perfect. Whether climbing, hiking, camping, sleeping, working, whatever...these are great.
I have a few and like them, but am I the only one who feels extorted by the price? $18 was bad enough, but now they're $20?! Please tell me Patagonia's profit margin on this item and/or convince me that the materials and work that goes into making them really justify the price.
To be honest, this is truly the cost of doing business at Patagonia. We have self-imposed, unique environmental standards we must uphold in the production of each garment we make and yes that does cost a bit more money compared to others who produce similar garments. It doesn't help that transportation fees due to the increase in petroleum costs have quadrupled in the last 2 years. Also, on this particular brief there is some cutting edge technology behind it... If you purchased a print or print hit, the application process is proprietary to the factory we use and what we love about it is, the print won't flake off after a years worth of washings. We are the only company in the outdoor industry who has access to this technology. Plus the production location is in my opinion the best seamless factory in the world. Sure, it's only a panty to most. Many think, why take the time and effort to design to last and be cute too? But to us here, this is a panty that's cool, comfortable (non binding) and you can't get another one like it anywhere else. Who else has print hits? Also many people buy Patagonia for piece of mind. You know when you buy a garment with our name on it, there is very little question to where this thing comes from. No mystery of unfair labor practices, no factory who is polluting the local river by dumping their toxic waste into it, etc. I am sorry but yes, we have to hire people to research and bulldog these types of things and it's going to cost the consumer in the end.I am very sorry you have to pay $2 more this year, but I hope you can understand we are not trying to bilk hard working people out of their money. We are just trying to do the right thing when making each garment. Sorry it is not always perfect.Best Regards,Cheryl EndoPatagonia Product Line Manager, Body
its not a thong but if fits well enough if you dont mind feeling like you are wearing a garbage bag. i go for a minimialist wrapping, and this one was true to size and didnt ride up, but sometimes i prefer if things lifted and separated....
Hands down the best wicking undies I have ever worn. I became addicted about 2 years ago and I have been unable to hike, run, bike, climb, etc. in any other pair of underwear ever since. They are super comfy and the most important thing is that they really WORK!
I brought a pair of these and some other pair on a 40 day trip in the Himalayas and this pair was amazing. They are easy to clean, dry fast and so comfortable. I love them!
The Patagonia Active Briefs are honestly the best underwear that I've ever worn. I love the full butt coverage (which doesn't look granny-ish) that keeps them in place during any activity.
Patagonia undies are the best. They are great for sports, smooth and sleek under your clothes. Capilene is quick dry (if you fall in while paddling) and the colors are fun.
No seams. No panty lines. Ultimate comfort. Feels like I'm not wearing them! Also, very light weight, so they dry quickly. I hesitated on the price, but so far think they're worth it.
I bought some of these for a backpacking trip and have been wearing nothing but these ever since. They cover your whole butt (a little weird at first) and don't move anywhere - no matter how active you are. When backpacking, they are really easy to wash in a stream, and dry in no time.
These are great! I hiked the Inca trail a few weeks ago and rocked these babies for a most of the time out there. They fit well, work excellently hiking, and are super cute too! Patagonia makes excellent products, right down to the undergarments. I really love them!
