The Paha Que Screen Room is the perfect place for the whole family to hang out, get some shade, or eat some grub. This Screen Room is slightly smaller and lighter than the 12 x 12ft version. Opening the front and/or rear doors, and extending the four built-in awnings creates a wide open feeling while shielding the blazing sun. Even with the no-see-um mesh doors closed, there's still an outside feel. With the awnings rolled down, the Screen Room offers protection from high winds, mild rain, and even intense sunlight. It's easy to open and close up when needed. Great for garden parties, weekends at the park, and backyard barbecues. *Rain fly not included.
Bottom Line: Rain or shine, the Screen Room's got you and your party covered.
We purchased this screen room and the floor to use as a kitchen area while beach camping. When I say beach camping, I mean camping on the sand where there are no roads, no condos- just sand, ocean in front and dunes behind you. Being exposed to the elements is hard on our equipment. This screen room was easy for the two of us to put up. It held up through storms strong enough to create waterspouts and mini tornadoes. We used sandbags to help hold down the guylines. The zippers are always the first thing to fail but these zippers held up through sand blastingliterally. Next time we would probably buy the tent just to help keep sand out, but I highly recommend the strength, the space, the high quality of the workmanship. I would not hesitate to recommend this to a friend or to buy from this manufacturer again. If you need a strong, well made screen room, this one is worth the money.
The Paha Que Screen Room surpasses any we have seen. We were expecting a great quality productwe not only were not disappointed, we found it to be even greater than expectations. It even rivals or surpasses the quality of our marmot tents. It sets up very taut, is outstanding to look at and has the feel and look of quality everywhere. Every detail was carefully thought out, down to the oversized bag. No corners were cut to deliver a customer-pleasing product. We have a room full of the highest end gear available, and this is one of the tops on our list. I will not hesitate to buy another Paha Que product when needed.
The 10x10 model allowed us to fit our huge outdoor table and 6 chairs inside. The flaps are great for when we want to use the room as a tent with the grandkids. The screening is high qualityforget you ever saw the cheap screening used on department store screen rooms! The only things I would add to the SR are some zipper pulls(easily added) and some loops inside to hand stuff on when used as a temporary tent. We use the Screen Room as an addition to our trailmanor travel trailerit allows us to eat outside and enjoy the view. It is also great to set up at home for eating out, and, as mentioned to use at home or on the road if you want to sleep outdoors a night or two beside the trailer. The Screenroom is a class actour felt fly fishing hats are off the paha que!
On a camping trip last year, we impulsively bought a cheapo screen room from a big discount store for $99. It took us at least an hour to work out how to set it up, most of the zippers didn't work well, and basically the yellow jackets managed to still get inside. I promptly returned this item, and found the Paha Que online at Backcountry. Nearly three times the price of that cheapo screen room, but it is TOTALLY WORTH IT! The Paha Que sets up in a flash, has beautiful workmanship, and we now enjoy bee-free meals. This screen room is really one of the best purchases I have ever made. We're the envy of all our camping friends!
We bought the 10x12 Paha Que Screen Room. Took a little extra effort to practice setting it up in the backyard. Glad we did. It should be easier at the camp site in Maine next week. Very pleased with the quality of material and open feeling.
The Paha Que screen room I purchased just before a camping trip with my daughter luckily proved very easy to set up. We were camping beside both a lake and a slow stream and the mosquitos were everywhere. I hadn't given myself a practice run at setting up the screen house at home before the trip as recommended by the vendor, but I was still able to put it up in just about five minutes. Taking it down and putting it back in it's bag was even easier. And the price I found at Backcountry was nearly $100 less than I was able to find at local stores, who didn't even have the item in stock. Thanks for the excellent price, excellent product, friendly knowledgeable staff, and fast shipping.
