Pacific Outdoor Equipment Mega Mat Sleeping Pad

Pacific Outdoor Equipment built the InsulMat Mega Mat Sleeping Pad so two people can enjoy a luxurious night's sleep together. The Mega Mat also works well for a car-camper who likes room roll around during the night. The 2.5 inches of Cross-Core foam cushions and supports any couple (or rowdy sleeper). Cross coring increases air flow for quick inflation and deflation, reduces bulk, and delivers exceptional insulation. The surface is a unique non-slip, 75D air-textured fabric, which gives you a soft-to-the-touch feel and prevents the slip-and-slide effect. Pacific Outdoor Equipment made this pad with durable fabric, but they included a repair kit and a beefy stuff sack too.

Bottom Line: Pacific Outdoor Equipment's InsulMat Mega Mat Sleeping Pad cushions both you and your partner on road trips and car-camping vacations.

I am ready to get rid of my bed. It is so nice. Perfect for car camping...not for back packing.

Perfect for two

Inflates pretty quick. We used to use two self-inflating mats and one of us always ended up on the tent floor because the pads always separated. The thought of tying the two pads together using straps just sounded like a pain in the butt. The Mega Mat is good for car camping but we can still use our old single mats for backpacking.

Will this work for a guy who weighs 350 pounds as an addition to a thin trailer camper bed?

It won't burst, if that's your concern. And how tightly inflated it is depends on how much air you can blow into it yourself.

No a pump is not included with the sleeping mat. Self inflating type that you can supplement with a few breaths.

We slept with our 1 year old in between us and used this pad. Worked great. Perfect for young families!

Would this mat work for doing Thai/Shiatsu massage? The traditional material for those mats are cotton, but I would like one I can take outdoors. I am looking for something that feels solid, like a foam pad as opposed to an air mattress.

I feel that this will be great for outdoors use for massages.

This pad is comfortable

I use the Pacific Outdoor Equipment Mega Mat Sleeping Pad mainly for car camping. You can sleep comfortably in any position including on your side. It's also very durable and resists punctures well. Way to big and heavy for backpacking but for a weekend of car camping this is a great option.
